I saw oscar toe walking with his family down moro on friday afternoon. He stopped and looked in every window like it was the first time he had been in aggieville.

He seems to observe the world with a kind of childlike wonder. Still can't believe he could be the head coach of anything.

this is a pretty apt description

i'm one of the biggest currie supporters on this board (mark the tape!) but can you imagine sitting in a hotel room in dallas when he thought to himself "i've got our guy!" ?

i mean.  it's not like oscar sold him some false set of goods.  i don't think he's even capable of that.  how currie could have ever thought of oscar as a solution is beyond me.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

The speed of this transaction, given who we hired, is what really surprised me.

We didn't seem to throw out too many offers.  We didn't hear of any rejections hinted at in the media like we do with many other coaching searches.  It was just a weekend in Dallas.

I buy into the theory that the public spat with Frank scared some guys away.

Also, no one wants to coach 90 miles away from Bill Self at Kansas.

Anyway, that's what I'm going with.  Otherwise, I'll assume oscar (or Gene Keady) stumbled upon incriminating photos.

oscar comes running out of the bathroom and yells "there's a telephone in the commode!"

Maybe we should create a new position at Kansas State and call it Head of Coaching Operations. Let Currie continue to run the athletic department budget. He needs somebody under him to actually manage the coaches and make the hires, though. He's just not competent enough.

Well, maybe oscar hasn't been keeping current  :dunno:  It is noteworthy that he did it before ku and UK ever achieved that mark.

Oh come on, Dax... calling someone a bitter old 'tater is a term of endearment around these parts.  You know I dig your style.

Well, I believe Duke did in 1987. And 1999.  And UNLV in there too.   Man, I feel sorry for you guys.

Even when he should have swag, he ends up rough ridin' it up.
