...and Jacob Pullen is chosen as the Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four, does he leave for the NBA, or come back for another season?

Were those things to happen... I really wouldn't give a crap.  Whatever is best for Jacob is what I want to happen.  We don't do that to our kids like Massa does.

I hate to bring facts to the discussion, but Mario Chalmers was in the exact same position as Pullen would be, and he left after his junior season.

Honestly, no.... but I won't be rooting against you guys, either.  The game last night was the best game of the tournament so far.

Actually, Pullen's probably even more likely to go than Chalmers.  Wouldn't have to deal with the guilt of his pop being unemployed as a result of the decision, ya know?

Yeah, and only because he knows that another year with Frank will just make him an even better player. Unlike with that one coach in Lawrence.

If he CAN go he should/will.  I don't think he's a major NBA prospect.  just IMO.

If Sherron is.  Jake is.  I've been saying since the start of the season.

I love Jake.  LOVE him.  But he's sort of slow.  Isn't speed important in the NBA?   :dunno:

sherrons stock has been falling big time.

i dont think jake will go. right now according to reports he has just started getting a little attention. he is only 6'0 and he isnt super fast. he could really help his draft stock if he came back as a senior and continued to play good ball. if he declared for the draft he might get picked but most likely in the second round and those contracts aren't guaranteed. honestly if we make the final four and he decides to go i cant be mad but i think he could help his stock by a good senior season. he certainly would have a good shot of being a first team all american next year.

Frank would be the first one to call every NBA GM and endorse Jake.

He wouldn't say something totally creepy as "maybe it would be best for Jake's family and Jake if he were to stay"

I got shivers when I heard Self say that.

Just like EVERY college player, if you can go in the first round, go.  If Jake isn't going to go in the first, which I can't imagine he would, he'll come back and put his name in the top 2 or 3 of a good portion of the KSU record book and end up with his banner hanging someday.  On some level, I'm sure that matters to him.

If Jake cuts down the net in Indy, I will make him a replica jersey of the NBA team of his choice with his name on the back.  And I will also give him some money and stuff.

Jake was Mike nightly sounding board as he weighed the pros and cons of leaving early. Jake knows his regrets.
