Ever since i found out that you can use a hot spoon to make an insect bite not bother you, i've literally given zero F's about getting bit anymore.

The basic premise is that the insect venom that keeps your blood from clotting (and is itchy) is heat sensitive, and the hot spoon is enough for it to break down.
