K-State has the chance to win a bowl game for the first time in over decade coming up here in a couple weeks, and the hottest topic on goEMAW is KU football.

 :flush:
If we were playing a team with a more fun fan base, we would be talking about other things.

It is pretty embarrasing.  On the other hand, it's like there's not much to talk about with our program outside of the recruiting thread, which has been pretty hot.  Facilities are progressing nicely.  New north endzone is going to be announced any day.  Recruiting progressing well.  Another winning season.  Another bowl.  Going to contend for the Conference next year, again.  Stable coaching staff.

Not a whole lot to talk about right now.  Little brother, on the other hand...

Yeah, I'm not sure there is much to discuss.  Winning, building, recruiting.  all going well.

Simpson Hawk helmets are ok too.
I once blew clove smoke in a guy's face that cut in front of me in the line to KJ's.

I'm actually past the point where I just want to laugh at the KU football program.  I actually want to know how it can get back on track.  There were some positive strides this year (WVU, first half OU, 2nd half defense against us), but I still just don't feel any momentum coming from the program.

Personally, if I were Weis, I would recruit the crap out of stud O/D linemen.  A pretty good running back can look All-Big 12 behind a good line.  Then I'd look for a solid, conservative QB.  An Alex Smith type.  Maybe not the best gunslinger in the world, but he's not gonna turn it over.  Seems like there are good enough athletes to at least make the team improve.

It's chowder blue, bad person!!!  :curse:

Carolina didn't invent it!!!!

It's Sporting Blue. :gocho:

1 conf win in like 4 yrs.  It is def not Sporting Blue.

What is their record when wearing chowder blue though? Didn't they almost beat Tech last season wearing it?

Re: Weis Press Conference

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is how I thought the Weis hire would work out.  Weis is a big name that would sell some tickets. he would be here 3-5 years bring in some assistant that could take over the program in the future  to have some stability in the program. I just wished we won a few more games.

Caught the end of some discussion of some recent wiess press conf yesterday.   The clip they were playing was  Chuck recounting how he asked his players how many of them thought they could or would play in the NFL then totally LOL'ed in their faces and said there were "a lot of delusional ppl in the room right now" because a bunch of guys raised their hands.

I sat behind their bench for 59-21. Just sad to see a group of young people who are broken emotionally.

Grunhard was catching ish in meetings for chitty OL play.  WR coach chimed in that the WR weren't fast enough to get open anyway...  Grunny proposed they work in bunch sets to take advantage of picks/scrapes/etc... and get some guys free.  Charlie said... "No, that's not the NFL way."  (Camel's back meet straw) Grunny gone and may have said Charlie was a moron to someone.  Source B+

Makes me sad how the coaches are just collectively making fun of the players and then ultimately quitting on them.

troubling times for TSC'ers.

I'd probably transfer to a program with a good QB.  That's just me.

This guy is a massive stud. If they don't at least make a bowl game next year, it should be considered a massive disappointment.

I think this says a lot about how much of a failure Will Muschamp has been.

Maybe not tho.  :frown: http://espn.go.com/college-football/player/stats/_/id/535931/kent-taylor

So, let me get this straight...

He didn't play at all last year?  Or did he not catch anything and register a stat?

I mean he's a perfectly good pickup, I guess.
