I know Beems is reeling them in today, but it would be funny if we didn't have more big 12 wins in Lawrence than the home squad.

KU is right on par with Notre Dame ... when it comes to adding additional conference revenue

Pretty easy to win bowl games when you play big east teams and mid majors. Much more difficult when you play teams that finish in the top 3.

Signed,

Rutgers & Syracuse

Rutgers finished 12th '06 fwiw.

Va Tech was ranked #3 in the country when KU beat them in the Orange Bowl.

LSU and Ohio State were clearly the cream of the crop that year, could've rearranged the next batch of losery teams in any particular order you wanted at that point.

KU got to the orange bowl by losing to the team that won the north and lost to OU in the big 12 championship. Jesus Christ himself is more likely to come back before this ever happens again.

Yeah, in their best season ever, they were maybe the 3rd best in the conference.

You mean the year we not only won the north but also the Big 12 Championship game as well?

Interesting.

Pretty incredible that winning bowl games is the chosen talking point of the fan base who is seemingly always three wins short of getting to a bowl game.

Seriously, though... football is KU's hobby sport, and we have three bowl wins since lil' bro's last one in 2002.  For all of the effort and money you guys throw at football, you still can't win a bowl game.  Sad.

You losers need a new hobby

That's a new phog talking point these days. That we were really third in the conference in 2003. That's where beems got it from. They're running out of material over there.

They're averaging 1.16 conference wins a year since 2008 and 4 of those came in 2008, so when you're a New Futility U. fan, you've pretty much got nothing else but historical revisionism.

If we had never been to a conference championship game, I wouldn't believe in them too.

There were some fans at the game who offered to give Futility U back but I couldn't accept it as we thumped them

95% of this board has experienced success almost every year for twenty years, I can't even imagine what it would be like to be a fan of a team that bad for so long sans the orange bowl obv

Really though, if KU became the new OU, and KSU became the new KU then we'd be pretty upset too.

Did you know Lorde's song "Royals" is inspired by the KC Royals?
