I am trying to get up to speed here....so people call our west side expansion thing a cruise boat?  From what angle?  I have looked and looked and cannot figure out what they are talking about?  I may have low cruise boat IQ, though.  I have only been on one once, and it was this spur of the moment 3-day cruise, because there was nothing else to do when I had some days off.   It was OK, I guess, but not great.

Never been on a carnival cruise so I cannot comment.  I have flown to several islands where they come into port and have sen them from afar.  I guess both are super expensive, have lots of windows....that's all but liek I said, I have never really been up close to a cruise ship.

correct.  but money won't be an issue when they redo the stadium.  which is totally going to happen soon.  they're just waiting on k-state to build all of our stuff first so that they can then build something even better.

It's going to be great for Free State and Lawrence high, and junior highs.  They'll have all sorts of civic events over there.  A real win for the citizens of Lawrence....a shrewd deal on their part.

If I was in Lecompton, Perry, and some of those other bergs, I'd negotiate for use of the "complex" as well--it's as close to them as it is to the KU campus.

I still don't understand why this is preventing them from even announcing an upgrade to the worst stadium in the conference?  their recruiting is a outright disaster.  Wouldn't it help to say "hey, I know its a total mess and you played at a better stadium when you played at ODAC and it has a track but it is going to be upgraded really soon!"

The endowment they strut over didn't help the Gridiron Club complete by fall of 2010.  Not sure why they think it will all of a sudden pay for $150m of renovations.
