Rumblings out there that if your an account rep for certain items athletic departments buy, best steer clear of the KU athletic offices for awhile.

Maybe set them for follow-up in 5 or 6 years.

Yeah, there are rumblings coming from various contractors that KU hasn't been/unable to make payments for various services. I'm not sure how much weight to give it considering the sources, but I think it's a little early to actually be believing they are running out of money.

I know the stadium project isn't being managed well, but I wouldn't think those type of issues would show up until Q4 of this year.

With all this talk about PE money trying to get into college athletics I think its safe to say KU is going to hop on that train with zero regard to long term costs.

Does KU athletics own the rules of basketball or is owned by some other entity? Would hate to see them have to auction off the rules here in 10 years when PE turns the screws to recoup their investment.

New rumblings . . . subs not getting paid, complete crap show (read further - pun intentional) from a project management perspective and . . . with the addition of the hotel, inadequate flow studies for the sewer system. Are we headed straight into KU Memorial - Piss Rivers Part II? Stay tuned. 

Edit - This project may reach new pinnacles of value engineering.

A rush project - in order to satisfy a slightly above mediocre football coach.

I mean it's ku doing facilities improvements…statistical certainty they were gunna hang a slider. And seasoned veteran dax knows to wait and let that ball get to the zone so he doesn't rip it into the 3rd base seats

I saw this debacle first hand at a recent campus visit. Just tragic to see this gaping eyesore in the midst of a once-proud campus. I bleed purple but as a lifelong Kansan, my heart aches to see an institution of higher learning in our state fall into squalor like this. I just wish there was something we could do to help.
