I think they probably do have their best coach since 2008.

Yes absolutely. Not a high bar though.

He will likely get them to a bowl game or 2 in the next few years.

I really hope the recruits are able to take these for a spin around the stadium.

Context, please. Is someone actually getting an NIL deal to drive one of these bad boys or is this just my Jayhawks being my Jayhawks and trying to create an illusion that if you come to Lawrence someone other than a basketball player is going to get one of these?

Who takes a pic of an exotic Italian sports car in the ugliest football stadium in all of college football?

Yea the Miles scandal ended up being a positive for them.  They were going nowhere under Miles.

Obviously the orange bowl was very special to them, but my belief is that KU people will ultimately recognize Leipold as the best coach they have had since Mason.

He gets them to a bowl or a 5-win season and bolts for the first team to offer him away.

Yup, and he's a Big TEN country guy. There will be schools in that conference that approach him if he legit turns them around, that he won't be able to turn down.

If they look good early in the season this year and Scott frost shits the bed again…

I agree, and that would still be a bigger accomplishment, in my opinion, than the Orange Bowl they love so much.

Nebraska hired Mike Riley in his early 60’s.  So while unlikely, it’s not impossible.

The outcome of that hire certainly does.

Your theory is the hope expressed among KU fball fans. Our Snyder, so to speak. Who knows, though.

We're crowning this dude and giving him jobs off of a 2 win season, something Gill, Weis, and Beaty all did more than once.

I don't think anyone is crowning him. But I think we can all agree that if he (along with the coaches you mentioned) were to build a bowl team in his second year at KU, he (and the previous coaches too) would have proven he can make chicken salad out of chicken crap and would get looks from struggling P5 programs almost immediately.

Do people think KU is a bowl team this year or next year? That can’t be a real thing that people think.

I think they beat Tennessee Tech and Duke. It's about 50/50 that they steal a Big 12 win somewhere.

They are way too dog crap on the OL and DL to win 6 games this year or next year.  I could be talked into 2024.

The chances of it actually happening in the next 2 years are incredibly low... it would take a miracle worker to make it happen

saw they just got a commit from a kid from Shendandoah, IA who had offers from UNI and North Dakota so he may be building something.
