Naw, not at all. I'm just cherry picking stats at this point since you made it sound like the K-State offense has been significantly better than KU's

I was kind of kidding at first, but if you don't think K-State's offense has been hilariously bad, I don't know what to tell you.

KU fires their offensive coordinator for those numbers, but K-State's guy (who even proud Paul fired) will probs be in MHK for years while we blame past recruiting classes for the shitty offense.

I mean, KU's had 4 offensive coordinators over the last 10 months so...I'm not sure that they're the model.

yeah, ku firing their coordinator this early seems very ku.

but, i think showing the conference games or P5 games is more relevant than showing all games, because our offense is clearly trending down, while ku is trending up from where they started.

Yeah but KU getting blitzed by OU and TCU can inflate those offensive numbers too. Those teams let off the pedal in the 2nd half.

But we still have been terrible.

Dearmon is actually a really interesting dude I have been following him on Twitter for a couple of years.

He is a really bright young coach who has written some good stuff on RPO systems and did really good stuff at Bethel last year both schematically and culturally that was interesting to follow.

i was quite dissapointed to see him end up at KU

I dislike Messingham a whole lot and let it distort my view, I just do not see a bright future with him around.

I genuinely hope he can change my mind/prove me wrong before the blue wings start rising with Dermond.

OSU has had success probing lower levels for OC talent. Granted a program with the consistency of Gundy for a decade could have a lot to do with the offense, but I think it's worth a shot for a program like KU. With both KU's and Miles' track records, going far outside the box on offense should be required. I'm not terribly worried about Dearmon as he'll leave pretty quickly if he is any good.
