Needs some form of green parking lots (something similar to this down here). Until then it's just a hole in the ground surrounded by paved lots.

I really didn't think we'd ever get this nice stuff back in the day. I remember being jealous of Nebraska because they had a fountain or some water feature in their facility. That was before I went to NU's memorial in person and saw the dump it actually is.

Anyway, we've come so far. I'll be interested to see what happens w/ the South side concourse and hopefully some facade on the east side. It will be pretty spectacular small-ish stadium at that point.

Circling back to KU...

I think given the real estate they're dealing with, I think they could demolish Memorial and build a pretty nice 40k seat stadium for $300 million. Kind of like Wallace Wade down at Duke.

KU football is always going to be a boutique ticket. If they have a good spurt here and there, they may hit 50k fans in the stands, but their target needs to be some sort of fan experience where you just want to be there, even if they aren't very good.

That thing in the picture is one of those spiral walkways like they have at the Truman Sports Complex and not a garage. They do have a small one though, just not attached to the stadium, right next to the stadium.

Campus becomes a circus starting Wed night and parking is impossible until you are miles from thr stadium.

They should make it a multilevel drive-in style stadium seating

Spending 300 million for a parking garage means it will probably be pretty nice, tho. Like, REALLY nice.
