K-State's incoming freshman class averaged 25.1 on the ACT in the Fall of 2016.   KU Karl says that K-State is probably fudging on the numbers (never mind that it's part of the "20th day" report to the Regents, still probably fudging).

KU Karl says that K-State is just an overgrown community college with a couple of decent programs, KU Karla nodded her head in agreement and they both agreed that KU's academic prowess as the 118th overall National University and 56th rated public university in the country would propel it forward in conference realignment.    They then split a big chicken burrito at On The Border and had a couple of those fancy Margarita's out of the machine thingy.

Forgot about that, they finished their dinners and then admired the KU "artwork" on the wall (that looks like a 3rd grader painted it).

You're wrong. For a public university that requires a 21, it seems very good for Kansas State.

this evening, the phog was informed of the all time losses pace they are on in 3 years...........apparently being the most losery program and the new futility U doesn't sit to well with them (on top of the historical road losses wave they have been riding)

at least they have the hill ....... :peek:

They'll still have "all time record" vs Big Bro for a few more years as well.... so, there's that.

Guys, KU Karl wants to remind everyone that KU, with it's new "enhanced" entrance requirements, which only let in 85% of applicants, instead of 92% of applicants, raised it's averaged ACT score to 25.6 (or close).   KU Karla was super pumped and ordered double cheese on the take and bake from Hy-Vee to celebrate.   KU Karl re-read the last few chapters of "Beyond the Phog" by gE's best bud, Jason King after dinner and polished off a glass of Sutter Home White Zinfandel.

Sad. BYU would be a massive upgrade over Baylor and KU from a human rights perspective.

Ok, we all know that Memorial is a glorified sewer with auditorium seating....but is KU going in a different direction with facilities?  They are building some pretty expensive housing for student athletes, in no small part to stay competitive with Kentucky for basketball recruits.  But they are also spending a lot of $$$ on housing for other student athletes.

Question:  Is where you live or where you play your sport more important in choosing a university?  Let's omit, for the moment, their futility U experience in football, and objectively evaluate that strategy.

This is a good point, and there is something to it.   I honestly don't know where K-State houses its athletes, and K-State certainly doesn't have a boutique dorm for basketball.   With that said, Wefald Hall is a new $80 million dollar facility, and looks to be really nice.   Obviously Jardine has received over a $100 million dollar make-over in the past 5 to 6 years, and that's close to the sports complex.   K-State also has the training table in the West Stadium Center.   There's another new $80 million dollar dorm slated to be built in the next several years.   But again, I have no idea outside of the training table, what that means for K-State athletes.
