Nobody was in Lawrence today, just anothet typical Saturday afternoon in the suburbs of topeka

I can't think of anything worse than living in Topeka
You must not have visited Cleveland in the winter.

You can't even compare Topeka and Cleveland.

Topeka isn't that bad.  'seeds love to trash on Topeka to make them feel better about being from Hoisington or whatever other garbage small town they're from.

you could do worse than Topeka.  a stone's throw away from MHK and KC isn't bad geographically.

Yes.  Topeka is light years ahead of  Hutchinson or Salina.

I mean what does an actual W get us? Not like we're going bowling. Maybe there's a psychological boost or recruiting boost, but that's very speculative.
I was pissed watching, but really a 1 pt loss is about as good as a 1 pt win. It says we played equally with a team much better than us.

This guy may be past the point of no return    :frown:

I'm always amazed at the noise level that a less than half full Memorial can put out. We have good fans, we just expect more because of our bball success. Some are willing to hang in there and show up because they just love fall Saturdays with family at the most beautiful spot for football in the country, others ask for a little bit more. The fans will be back, and you'll be amazed at how fast those seats start filling when the time comes.

Any meager outburst of crowd noise is going to seem loud because most of the game takes place in dead silence.

At times while watching the game, I could barely hear the crowd's applause over the speakers that were piping in AC/DC

Speaking of loud, saw this video this morning, talking about how that late-game BS PI cost us beating the spread.  They mentioned that  those 30-some seconds of game time were 6 solid minutes of boo-ing in real time, something that made me LOL irl.

Most fan bases over rate their college town a little bit for the most part,  but KU Karl does it better than anyone. Classic case of saying something enough that people eventually accept it as true.

But it would be pretty hilarious to hear KU Karl saying that anywhere in the states Colorado,  Utah,  or Washington to name a few.

KU Karl is the guy who won't let visitors leave Lawrence until they admit it was the greatest experience of their life.

Somebody needs to write up a bio for KU Karl.  I'd suggest a life relegated to suburban JoCo living, trips to Lawrence for the "big game" and a few weekends in the Ozarks.

Sounds like maybe you should just write it.

KU Karla I work with will not shut up about how her daughter wants to be a waitress or some crap at The wheel.  I always pretend to have no idea what it is and it drives her bananas, like she will send me pictures and crap
