KU and Okie Lite are both done winning this season. Unless you count moral victories, then ku might have another one or two coming.

Moral victory, for sure. Bowen needs more time.

he really does. if anybody knows the landscape of the area and what needs to be done at ku to install a winning program it's coach bowen. i hope the big money people at ku don't get in the way and force another big name like they did three years ago w/ charlie.  :th_twocents:

Guys, Bowen is obvsly the problem.  They dumped chuck and guess what?  Still losing.  Also, we all know its not the facilities.  Best setting in college.

They'll probably beat UT.  WVU is a toss-up.  They'll lose the rest.

You realize, that is KU's administration had allowed them to fill their vacant assistant coaching position after moving up Bowen, they may have coached the kids up well enough to avoid that special teams error.

I went and stood and in the middle of the student section yesterday and led the charge in getting those lame mother ******* fired up.  By the way a good number of the people in the student section yesterday were not students.  There was a very small number that actually acted like they were at a football game to start with, but by the second half of the third quarter more and more of them started to get the idea.  By the end of the game they were actually being pretty loud on a per person basis, but there just was not enough numbers.  Despite the only moderate noise production the defense managed to play fantastic football in the second half.

At the end of the game one of the more idiotic of the students started a "We beat the spread chant." and a small bunch of yokels joined in.  He was nearby, so I targeted the ring leader and yelled at him to shut the **** up.  He retorted with "you can't tell me what to do".  I repeated myself more vociferously than the first time.  This time he took the hint and did indeed STFU along with his merry band of morons.  The message I was intending to convey was "sure KU football may have been a joke the last couple years, but it is not going to be a joke any longer."  I think they got the message.

I told that guy to shut up extra loud and I think he understood that to mean that we have been through a lot, that times have been bad, that we all survived the Briscoe era relatively unscathed,  but  that if we just pull together and not cheer incorrectly, well, the thirteen of us have a real chance.  An extra loud stfu is worth a thousand words.   A bond.   An understanding. A forged path taken together toward the promise land.

Sounds like Harbaugh is pretty much banging down the door for the opportunity to coach at KU.  They have 27 page thread dedicated to this very topic.

Quote
Things would move fast:
- money would pour in
- stadium plans would come out
- season tix would get gobbled up
- 3/4 star blue collar, tough as nails players would sign on
- 1/2 well ranked QBs would commit
- enrollment would grow

After 2 seasons, we'd be a bowl lock. His name would occasionally come up with vacancies but he'd quickly shoot them down.

KU would have the most recognizable coaches in America. We'd be the gold standard in Collegiate athletics.

I thought they already were.

You bet your a$$ that's what's going to happen!!!!!  Hey, the Royals are going to the World Series this year-- it's about time KU football catches a few breaks too.  This would be the biggest break we've ever had, and there's definitely a chance it could happen if things break the right way.  Sarah, you don't want your kids to grow up in that California cesspool, do ya?  Come home to the good and pure Midwest,  and bring Jim with you.
I actually think California is quite nice.   :dunno:

Where the Harbaughs live I bet it's nicer than Olathe.

Harbaugh just keeps winning at SF, he will have several shots at nfl jobs, if he doesn't stay there.
