I'm assuming you just ignored my entire list?

I like Lawrence.

I'll honestly agree with you here.  The city is a good time.  My sister lived in Lawrence for six years.  A lot of fun things to do in town.  And you can easily enjoy the place without ever once stepping foot near campus.

Reppin' the #620, even though that's not very specific because that encompasses an area of land roughly the size of the country France.

The only people that see a huge difference between Lawrence and Manhattan are people who have lived in Kansas their whole lives.  A recruit from Texas cares that one program wins more, puts more players in the league, has better coaching, fills the stadium, and has better facilities.  They don't care that Lawrence has another Applebees.

The above is absolutely the case and removes exactly 85.66% of Beems talking points.

why in the world would we add 100,000 more seats? At some point you gotta figure having the largest stadium in the world in NE Kansas would be a little overkill  :dunno:

Because we can. We got that sweet K-State money.

I do often wonder what the population of Lawrence would be if Topeka didn't completely suck.

This is a great point.

My sister works in Topeka, lived there for 6 months, then moved back to Lawrence(SQWAUK!) and commutes every day.

Butthurt psychopath Beems is on the prowl again.  How many days do you give her fiancé before she either leaves him or is in the ICU?  :frown:

You guys are the ones on a KU message board bitching about some perceived slight of K-State and Manhattan.  It's like KU fans can't even mention Lawrence without droves of grapes showing up and arguing about which school/town is better.  This is a KU message board... if you don't want a KU slant, go to the K-State board.

Should be starting a new chapter in his life but yet Titletown is doing nonstop 4x1's around his dome.  Sad human being, really

If you don't hype up your hometown/are embarrassed by it, there's something wrong with you.   You know who acts like that?  Drugged up teenage runaways and fugitives.

There were two explosions on consecutive days.

Quote
On January 17, 2001, natural gas stored underground in Hutchinson, Kansas leaked into empty brine caverns. Two explosions resulted from the leak. One destroyed two businesses and damaged 26 others. Another destroyed a trailer park killing two people. Sinkholes and gas leaks formed all around the city and the gas had to be slowly burned off.
