It is becoming more and more evident how EMAW Zenger is.  the guy bled purple when he was at KSU and it hasn't changed.

I don't know what the incentive is to have it finished quickly. I'd rather they do it slowly and well than poorly and fast. Doing it poorly is almost worse because it would necessitate another half-ass renovation in the future. Bandaid renovation jobs are terribly inefficient from an administrative point of view.

They have an AD whose highest-level experience prior to this job was doing it poorly and half-assery.

Should we start making reasonable loans to KU just until they get back on their feet? Seems like a brotherly thing to do.

Where's the link for the sarah mclachlan KU video?  I need to watch that now.

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

They're are known welchers with little of value for collateral. I guess we could make them put Allen Fieldhouse on the line -- not that it's worth a gottdamn nickel.

Short term/high interest with the secret being that they can't possibly meet them, then repo the campus.  Then we don't have to build one in Olathe, we can just change the sign in Lawrence then start tackling the 100yrs of deferred maint......never mind.

Jesus, you're right.  Your football stadium is better than ours right now - that's the only thing in the history of your university that is better.  The potential at Memorial is astronomical compared to your sheep farm.  We suck right now, we know that.  We also know OB will be gone in a few years and you will be back to the outhouse where you lived for a century.  So enjoy it while it lasts.  And please don't embarrass yourself comparing money at KU to hillbilly high.

I'm sure he is but it is going too slowly compared to the rest of the conference.  We have some huge alumni that could bail our stadium out and it's Zenger's job to show them how important it is for KU.  When it comes to the football stadium it seems you hear something positive from K-State every month and nothing from KU.  More and more Kansas kids are choosing to go to K-State while KU continues to play football in one of the worst BCS stadiums in the country.

I would love to read the logic behind this.  Without the GD hill as a reason

So K-State is building a new football complex a little over six years after KU completed our football complex in' 08?  Damn.  That's legit.

So if I'm in Lawrence and don't want to suffer a catastrophic injury, where should I go?

Be honest, kid. Vanier, as it stands, is hardly inferior to your clipart compound. Sure, it's a slightly more modern facility. However, we're about to pay cash for a new Vanier that will make your Anderson look like a joke. Best of luck, lil' bro. Ts & Ps.

3 Football Coaches at ku, that's THREE football coaches asked for something comparable to Vanier.   Glen Mason, who finally just opted to bail because of the lack of overall support, particularly a dedicated football complex.

Terry Allen was placated with a weight room.

Mark Mangino asked for something comparable to Vanier in 2002, SIX years later it opened.

Overall, SIXTEEN years behind K-State.

Just a few blocks south of the "heart" of Mass St. you'll find a park. In this park you will find some very nice and interesting bums. They'll tell you that they're "occupying" it but its really just a tent city for bums. Lawrence really is a lovely bedroom community.
