I personally give Harbaugh to KU about a 25-30% shot.   Or he could be using KU to put fear into the Michigan people to drop their butthurt about his comments a few years ago.   I still think there's plenty of "I want a Michigan man coaching Michigan" people around up there, even if Bo meant he didn't want a guy who was going to coach somewhere else.  Still lots of M people who want a "Michigan Man".

The one thing about the Michigan job is all the whining and crying their fans are doing now will cease the moment Harbaugh starts winning and all the people moaning about the NFL price tag that Michigan has on everything related to attending the games will cease as well.    They'll be 106,000 people in the stands and the way the Big 10 is right now, Harbaugh could put them in Big 10 title contention pretty quickly and the Ohio State-Michigan game will likely return to being a national showcase football game very quickly.

Also, I believe the Big 10 Network goes out to bid again soon and there's rumors of Fox going all-in on the entire Big 10, and don't think for a second they wouldn't love to see Jim Harbaugh at Michigan.

But Harbaugh may want to take a lessor job that will still pay well and where they'll be less pressure.

It's mostly talent. I think rust belt high school football has fallen off significantly in recent years and it is showing on the field.

He's probably too much of a Northwestern guy, but Pat Fitzgerald should also be on KU's radar.   I wouldn't have said that awhile back after they nose dived post Ohio State last year, but he seems to have gotten them back on track.    It's probably a long shot though.

If Fitzgerald has a rough spot this season, I could see him bolting.  He seems to flex from stud coach to hot seat pretty regularly and could be looking to leave during a downturn.

I am sure there will be Michigan people who will want bygones to be bygones in regards to the comments that Jim H. made about their academics while he was at Stanford.    I just saw parts of an article about how many Michigan people are not only getting turned off by the losing in football, but the Michigan athletic department has gone from being very conservative with in venue advertising.  To making it almost like an arena football league setting advertising wise and an NFL stadium cost wise.

FWIW, I never ever listen to Mike and Mike, because as I've said before the NFL is for degenerates, but I happen to hear it today for 5 minutes today. Anyway, they said the Raiders have a chance of landing him because his wife wants to stay in the Bay Area.
