You guys, the distance between field and bleachers is about the same when comparing BSFS with Memorial.
I’ve started to kind of hate people, and it’s not because I have anything against them. It’s just, I enjoy it. It’s recreation.

Memorial is three times farther way and that is not even debatable

The track was kinda cool. Don't know why they were so insecure about it.

We use to complain that the squack track was way too close to the field and that one of our studs could get hurt on a wild run out of bounds.  That old track came right up to the stands.  The gap between field and stands was not all that wide.  Also, removing our Harley track didn't bring the sidelines any closer to the stands at BSFS.  Just saying.

Google images.  It's the best I can do with my phone.  I zoomed in about as close as I could get it so if you want true dimensions you can just go eff yourselves.  Use the eye test.

Seems like MouseRat might be like Kevin Costner in JFK.   This is pretty convincing evidence.

Man, so much history taken away with that track.  The Kansas Relays were originally held at the stadium in 1923, and now they're at some sterile location out in West Lawrence.   :frown:

Imagine how cool it would be to bring it back to Memorial some day!    :woot:

Great point gosp, I'm not sure how I'd react if ksu tore down something as historic as the kansas relay track. I'd be very sad if they tore down bramledge (considered by experts to be the most historically valuable basketball venue in the state)

The sidelines are fine, it's that GD prairie in the north bowl.  At least put some GD windmills in there or something.

They need to put a high jump mat out there so we can put the Kansas Relays back where they rightfully belong.
