Come here son, I want to show you a hill.  OK.  Look over there, you see that hill? Ya.  That's the hill. What are all those things on it? One billion tents.

Lewis and Clark signed a peace treaty with the Kaw indians on that hill, FWIW.

They really should make some sort of statue on the hill to commemorate that. Like maybe a Kaw Indian riding on the back of a giant dove or something.

but sir, the hill is the logical place for clipart football complex. i just don't understand.
i've already told you, jenkis. we can't disturb the natural beauty of the hill. we'll have to build it off to the side.
but that will make it look even weirder.
yeah i know. now back to the beautiful hill. let's build a jumbotron in front of it and cover it with tents so it can't be seen.

So KU stole the hill from the Kaw indians?

Hey where should I park this huge, gigantic 18 wheeler during the game?  You see that hill? Ya.  Right in front of it.

In so many words (and I didn't want this discussion to go that way) but yes.

If I were a Jayhawk fan I would donate 1 truckload of dirt each season to be dumped on top of the hill. Just imagine if all of the 2000 die hard Jayhawk football fans did that every year. That hill would get pretty big over the course of my lifetime.

Look at all those shades of green!

Those are some pretty awesome renovations.  I mean, look at that view.   I think KU should just call it quits and say they are done here.

Zulu should just be :adored: by all the die-hard KU football fans for the change he has brought to KU football.

And some thought he couldn't get it done.  Bravo Zulu.  Bravo.

When you are a KU FB player, the grass is always greener on the other side of the endzone.

Read Undaunted Corrage  at Emo's suggestion, and don't recall reading that the CoE ever ventured up the Kansas River from Kaw Point in KC, iirc.

Little known covert mission.  The Department of Indian Affairs worked a deal with the IRS that, in return for discontinuing an audit for taxes owed on unclaimed book royalty payments, he wouldn't publish his recounts of the mission.  It would have been a PR disaster.

Once they rake in some the rubber and sand into that arched area, it will match the sides they just installed.

You have to remember that the field turf has been there and exposed to sun for a while, so it will take a bit for it all to match seamlessly.

I was thinking it would be an excellent spot for all the Harley riders to park. Then they could just lay out blankets and watch a Big 12 football game while having a nice picnic dinner with their significant other. Just a quiet, peaceful night on the gridiron after revving up the Harley for a lap.

I like when the put all those tents on the hill.  When they cover it with tents.  It's like, where should we put all these huge tents and medium tents and smaller tents?  What about on that hill? Ya.

But really, it's just like the Grove at Ole Miss.

Except there tons of fat chicks at KU, not at the grove

I really like the old tymey ones. The current version is offensive to the eye, but the ones before the 40's (I think) are pretty cool.
