The only other school I found in the same boat is Army. So when we play Duke, they will have played two games while we will have played only one, and when we play Central Michigan, they will have played three games while we will have played only two. Considering that we are installing a new offense with a fairly green QB, this seems to be a major disadvantage in the Duke game against a team with a well established offense coming off a ACC title game appearance and bowl. It may also hurt us a little against Central Michigan, which is a must win for the season to be anything other than a total disaster. Was this schedule the result of moving the date of one of the games now scheduled later in the season? Or did we intentionally begin the season a week later than everyone else? I suppose some might argue that the additional week will give us more time to work on the new offense, but I don't think there is any substitute for actual game experience, so I have to think it will hurt us somewhat in the noncon portion of the schedule (especially against Duke). Wondering what everyone else thinks about our chances against Duke and Central Michigan. I wish I believed that the Central Michigan game at home is a lock for a W, but I don't. I'm sure this whole issue about the late start for KU was discussed before I started reading this site, but I missed it.

I heard they didn't schedule a game the first weekend because they wanted enough time to replace the track without cutting corners. A+
speaking of which, does ku have constuction cams for there big 'novations? Have they got the entire track removed yet, or still working on the back straight away?
