I just recently moved back to the Lenexa area and on Thursday night I went down to Memorial Stadium to go see the taking out of the track and it was completely removed. While I was there I was standing by the corner of the stadium by the football building when the door opened and a college kid walked out and I asked him a couple of questions about the track removal. Come to find out he is a manager for the team working with the receivers. He went on to tell me that the field was going to be lowered in 2016. I asked him who told him that and he said Dave Campo.

What are the odds this stuff is still at KU by the time construction starts?

A friend of mine who had a BBQ this weekend to celebrate getting his Red AA Coin (congrats Wayne) is a pretty big KU fan and we were discussing the new asphalt track.  He told me him and few of his bros have been in contact with Dr. Zenger about trying to schedule the ku game as an early morning game the day KSU has their Harley day.  His plan is to ride in KU's first Harley day then trailer his hog, haul ass down I-70 and ride in the KSU one later in the day.  He was pretty excited about the prospect.

JB: Coach Weis has all the NFL experience. He's a winner, he's just trying to put it all together. Recruits aren't going to come to Kansas immediately. We're obviously not winning a bunch of games, it's not really attractive. But he's doing everything he can to get us in the right direction and get good recruits out here. I believe in Coach Weis and I can't wait to come play for him.
