The official attendance figures don't jive with how the crowd looked early in the game, this is my opinion.  I'm glad this thread can provide you cats with some joy, even if it is harm-joy, or Schadenfreude as it were in the Deutsche .

You make it sound like this is a less than desirable form of joy. 

Science and western thought seem to suggest it, so don't take my word for it.  Brain-scanning studies show that schadenfreude is correlated with envy in subjects.  Other researchers have found that people with low self-esteem are more likely to feel schadenfreude than are people who have high self-esteem.  Also this from Proverbs 24: "Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth: Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him."

It was fairly full, I saw it on TV.   But by the sounds of it, they gave away a lot of free tickets.

It really does remind me of someone who isn't familiar with football.  The stupid penalties, the stupid coaching decisions, Dave Campo apparently not having a pair of testes.  WTF does Grunt-Hard do during the week?  How can these guards/tackles keep jumping offsides so much?  This program...not simply this year's team...this program lacks discipline.  They're a national disgrace and an abomination to football.  How can we get one sport so right and the one as important as football so wrong?

I used to always hold the Ron Prince going for it on 4th and long in his own red zone during the first quarter in Lawrence 5 or so years ago as the dumbest play call I had ever seen. Sadly, that has been moved to a DISTANT second.  At least KSU was a desperate team on the road already down big with literally nothing to lose to and to give them credit they actually manned up with their offense and went for it. 

There is just no explaining why you would do that so early in a tie game at home, and at that expect the punter to cover that kind of ground.  No explanation.  The whole thing doesn't make sense. Its mind bending to even try to conceive how that would happen.   I sincerely doubt I will ever see a worse call, given the circumstances, in my entire life, and I am late 30's.

Counting this moronic fake punt, Charlie has went for it on 4th down on our side of the field in the first half in each home game this year. His conversion rate is 0%. He said when he got here he was going to study what that team out west did to get to win 10 games. He must have messed up and studied under the Ron Prince era instead of the Old Balls era.

Seriously. Terry Allen became this legend of being the worst ever during the Mangino years. He averaged better than 4 wins a year which is something we can only dream of.....

It is just harder now than it was for Mason or Mangino in their yr 2's coming off bad first seasons.  When Mason took over, only 3 Big 8 teams cared about football.  When Mangino took over, he got 4 non cons and could avoid OU and UT 2 of every 4 years and some programs like like Ok St, Baylor, MU and ISU were not all in. 

You gotta be patient.  But Weis needs to shut his mouth.  He built up expectations on his QB's and JC's.  His mouth is his worst enemy.

Your football program is an embarrassment to the University of Kansas and is devastating to school spirit at KU.   You need to figure it out or just give up football altogether.  You spend (and make) way too much money to be so pathetic.   I have invested hundreds of hours of my time and tens of thousands of my hard earned dollars in KU Football over the past 15 years.  I am done supporting KU Athletics and the KU Endowment in any way if you can’t figure it out.  I will make it easy for you, field a winning team 25% of the time and I will continue supporting you.  If you can’t figure out how to win 6-7 games one season out of every four you all should be replaced.

Football is such a drain of resources it should just go away.  They lose so much money it negates the huge profits basketball makes.  The entire AD would be better of if the money was spent on women's sports.
