I’ve started to kind of hate people, and it’s not because I have anything against them. It’s just, I enjoy it. It’s recreation.

Not sure if they do, but soon they'll have a nice, new building not to teach it in.

Welp, if they said it on GPC, it must be true.

 :flush:

Yet you'll take everything in phognet/jayhawk slant talking point land as absolute hand to god/carved in stone.

Remember when K-State was going to get hammered by the NCAA (We'll start with that one and work our way forward, it'll take about 6 months, but I've got the time).

Already sent in my request that K-State wait 6 months on their FY2014 audit, so they can use 18 months worth of donation data (and then not even note anywhere in the report that's what they did, ah-hem).

I don't run with any talking points other than my own.  The fact you are holding onto hyperbole from years ago is sort of strange.

Well, as I recall you kept telling us you were also a member of the slant and that's what they were saying over there.  Something about someone working at an OP law firm that specializes in NCAA issues.   You've made some pretty bold proclamations that are pretty hard to forget.   I think the boards all time favorite is the "Lew is building a monster", but the "K-State is going to get hammered by the NCAA" ranks right up there.

Lew did some great things at KU and helped build the athletic department into what it is now.  KU's approaching $100+ million in revenue for the first time in school history, and a lot of it's thanks to Lew.  As for K-State, you had an internal investigation after the Prince fallout, and then you had the whole JamSam debacle.  There has been plenty of shadiness going on within the KSU AD.

What's the problem?  KU had its best season ever without the current football complex and the stsdium upgrades.  You guys updated your shitty stadium and got worse last year.

That has nothing do with nothing, I applaud any and all attempts by K-State to be shady.  The Prince contract has nothing to with this discussion, nor does Lew's exercise equipment or five former ku athletic department employee's going to Federal prison.   Pretty poor deflection attempt.

You took the "NCAA is going to hammer K-State" talking point hook-line-sinker and ran straight to this board with it.

Good point, dax. KSU AD employees don't do things that entail prison time. As others have pointed out, there's a reason there are so many red roofs at KU...just like so many prisons.

Yeah, you're just helping strengthen my point.  K-State upgraded from the 2nd-tiniest, 2nd-shittiest pressbox in the Big 12, and followed up "titletown" by going 8-5 and losing at home to an FCS school.

Football games aren't won in the pressbox. They're won on the field. And with good players. The latter factor is why KU will always be behind KSU.

Well, it all plays into the "Lew is Building a Monster" and I think you should know that Bob Fredrick and staff toured the Dev Nelson Pressbox when it was built.  It took ku 5 years to build suites at memorial stadium and K-State doubled the number of suites at the BSFS that same year and added a stadium club that did not consist of pleather loungers and NASCAR still risers in the endzone.

You're floundering Beems, the same team that lost to NDSU walked into Memorial Stadium and yawned their way to a barely break a sweat multi-touchdown win over ku.   But you keep pounding all those moral victory nails into the wall and hanging your hat on them.

I am worried it's difficult for our guys to even get up emotionally to play ku these days, it's like shooting fish in a barrel.

K-State would have built a bronze statue of Lew and named the city of Manhattan after him if he had delivered K-State's first ever national championship and 12-win season.  As it stands, KU is setting the gold standard in college basketball, and will soon eclipse the $100 million mark in athletic revenue.
