what happened?

Scored 60 yard TD, collapsed on sideline, blood clot in brain/stroke. :(

There are worse ways to go.  Guy probably lost consciousness at the height of what he loves doing.  Still sad, but at least there is that.

Sounds like they are artificially keeping the blood moving to sustain and oxygen supply to organs until they can get organ recipients in order.  Very sad. But his family should be commended for donating his organs.  Has to be very difficult to prolong losing a family member to help other lives.

Cliff Illig (featured in the Memorial Stadium renovation article) is wealthy enough to buy K-State ten times over.  Our impending stadium renovation will put K-State's carnival cruise ship to shame.

Lol, hardly.

The track will be removed within a year or two.  The renovation will go in phases, just like at K-State, except KU won't be relegated to building a carnival cruise ship onto the side of a high school stadium.

Very sad.  Sounds like a great family.

I can't imagine having the strength to make that decision given the circumstances.

Those are great people.

Worst fake punt in college football history?

I mean that couldn't have been the call right?
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever
