Watching the boys in blue (kc royals) and just saw a commercial for ku season tickets.  The commercial ends with the phone number to call next to their high school free standing lights.   :buh-bye:
What do you think their ROI is for advertising football tickets on radio and TV?

As the old saying goes....  They can hope in one hand and crap in the other and see which one fills up first.

Ron Burgundy: "Bryan, isn't the point of playing football to win the game?"

Bryan Fantana: "Well, Ron, it's like the old saying goes...  Nope."
I’ve started to kind of hate people, and it’s not because I have anything against them. It’s just, I enjoy it. It’s recreation.

No, in 2008, ku built a slightly larger, slightly nicer version of Vanier, 15 years after Vanier was built.

The Anderson Complex is the neglected shed that you have in your back yard to store your crap you dont want in the garage.

KU also completed $90+ million in upgrades and renovations to AFH and the adjacent facilities in '10.

The new Debruce Center is set to have its groundbreaking in May:

Bottom line... K-State is going into millions upon millions of dollars in long-term debt to finance these projects, and the sad thing is that you're basically playing catch up with the rest of the Big 12.

Looks like $85 was spent to keep that shack from falling apart and the other $5 was used on picture wallpaper

ku currently has right at $49.5 million dollars in long term debt, and at one time had over $60 million in long term debt.  What a terrible comparison, in 7 years, K-State's debt will be lower as well.

K-State just financed the largest athletic facilities project in Kansas Board of Regent School history, of which K-State paid $40 million dollars straight out of pocket towards, the largest out of pocket (non bonded) portion any Kansas school has paid towards an athletic project.  K-State is about to announce the largest privately funded out of pocket athletic project in Kansas BOR school history on Saturday.   That will put K-State up to $175 plus million in facilities projects in 5 years.

ku was nearly 5-10 years behind almost every other Big 12 school in building a dedicated football administrative and player facility, and the New Vanier will dwarf the AFC.

So, what is KSU's long-term debt load, then?  If I put a down-payment on a house and then pay my mortgage with cash, does that count as buying the house with straight cash, homie?

Total long-term debt for K-State as of June 30th, 2013:  83,340,903.03

The new $50 million football stadium upgrade will only increase that number.  Kudos to K-State for getting it done, though.

The new Vanier will be paid for entirely in private funding.

Most expensive privately funded athletic project in KBOR school history, nothing else even close.

if there's 1 thing I really care about when getting, nice, new, shiney, big buildings, it's how much debt will it put on K-State's balance sheet.
