I am shocked that some people are still making excuses.

News flash...this program sucked long before weis arrived. The life blood of a football team is the line and it takes years to develop a cohesive offensive line...and that's assuming they are talented enough to compete at the Big 12 level...which the current crop of offensive lineman are not. It's going to take more than a year and a half. You figure the first year of recruiting was wasted as Weis came on board long after most of the good players had committed...so he basically has had one year to recruit offensive lineman that typically take 3 to 4 years to develop with the first year being a red shirt year. there is no quick fix...so forget it if you think you can replace Weis and get immediate improvement.

Well, the OSU offensive guy actually fumbled the ball. Weis called for the review, and it was clear, the OSU offensive person had his arm underneath his buttocks when he landed, and then fumbled. The review decision was incorrect. Boone Farm Slim Pickens and his GAS HOG poopy cowboys, were pre-determined by Football world to win this game, and Charlie when he wins the toss, and decided to go on DEFENSE? is pretty much part of the joke. KU fans and individuals on the team should SUE the Big Twelve. Charlie is a very high paid yes boy, so can't stir up too much controversy. I COULD CARE LESS IF THE OKIE DOKIE COWS--T TEAM DOESN'T LIKE ME. TOO MUCH POLLUTION FROM WANNABE COWSH-T LIBERALS, AND UR BEAT THE STICK, screaming low class crowd. firing Bill selfish is also somewhere on my agenda. He grossly wastes KU basketball talent and has problems motivating the team. Plus in clutch situations, he has needed his clutch replaced for years. NEXT...... Maybe he can be an assistant coach for Roy Ted, big boy Williams, or Wilhelm, or whatever the jerk calls himself now. NEXT.
what is this i don't even

You're technically wrong but factually correct.  They are worse than we ever were so theoretically the could have a greater turn around,  but there's a zero percent chance that it actually happens.

as a k-state fan, the ku orange bowl season was the greatest thing that could have happened.  it's one thing to have never tasted success, but knowing what it's like to be good makes their current run even harder on them.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

There is a reason blue blood basketball schools suck at football - the vast majority of the fans do not understand how difficult it is to build a football team. Give 'em a year or two, maybe three, and if they are not winning regularly, show em the door. Hire new coach (after other, more patient teams have sewn up the recruiting), repeat cycle.

Someone in another post said how dead this board is - I agree. But it is better than having a bunch of nattering naybobs on here running down the coaches, the team, and, probably, running off the recruits.

At least there's basketball.

People forget how elite we were in basketball when we started to stink it up in football. The switch can be made. Just probably not at KU.

We'll I, for one, hope the KU snobs don't turn on Weis as the did on Gill, using Weis' struggles as cover for their JOCO bias against weight problems just as harping on Gill's record hid their obvious racism.
He's clearly got his with three Super Bowl rings pointing the program in the right direction. Two-three more years and he could win a conference game. Time and patience is the key.

No.  The landscape of college football is so much different.  To be that bad today, you have to be total dogshit.

It's going to be a bloodbath and I'm not showing up. But at least I won't sell my tickets to any K-Staters.

My brother didn't buy season tickets for this year and I'm not buying next year. I'm sick of this chit. Give them time and they'll f**k our basketball program up.

I could list about 10 frickin things that I always thought was stupid about KU football. Like the brand new scoreboard for example. Can anybody read the scores of other games? They're too damn little. Get somebody to run the scoreboard that knows what the f**k they're doing. How in the hell can one school have the nations best basketball arena and one of the worst football stadiums?

Anybody ever notice the posters of our bowl teams of 73 and 75? They were underneath as you walk in by the concession stands. They were reversed. The 75 Sun Bowl team had 1973 on it and the 73 team with David Jaynes had 1975 on it. I e-mailed the athletic department about it. They finally fixed them. No wonder we suck in football so much. Nobody gives a chit. Thanks for listening. I'm done. Carry on.

think they have to buy Weis out. There is no evidence whatsoever that he will turn the program around.

Kansas is a rich school. There's no reason why they can't go to the money bin and pack the next train out of town full of $100 bills and Charlie Weis.

Not firing him says to your fans that you either (a) still believe in him, which is insane, or (b) are willing to accept failure because improvement would be expensive.

Neither is tenable, his goose surely must be cooked.
