KU's only desirable commit just flipped to Colorado.  3* wide receiver.

Sorry seems to be the hardest word.

It's sad, so sad
It's a sad, sad situation.
And it's getting more and more absurd.
It's sad, so sad
Why can't we talk it over?
Oh it seems to me
That sorry seems to be the hardest word.
:Woohoo:

Songwriters: Bernie Taupin, Elton John
Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word lyrics
People are crazy and times are strange
I'm locked in tight, I'm out of range
I used to care, but things have changed

They are currently discussing if they should go ahead and slap a retractable roof on memorial :Ugh:

They wouldn't even be able to stare at the hill all game if the stadium had a roof.

Instead of a retractable roof, how about retractable urinals?  I think they already have retractable plumbing.

Retractable roofs by themselves cost tens upon tens of millions of dollars.   Unless of course if they have some sort of innovative design.

Well, they talk about it a lot.  But when it finally does happen, it's going to be awesome.

They should just build a new stadium.   Schools have torn down memorial stadiums before.   Just take the old plaque on the one side of the stadium that nobody pays any attention to anyway . . . and create a nice new memorial plaza with it as the centerpiece.

Outside of the concrete in the lower seating bowl, K-State has essentially built a whole new stadium in the same time that KU has been talking about maybe renovating their stadium.

what if they build a separate building to house the old plaque?  If it turns out they don't have the original plaque i'm sure a facsimile would be fine.

I like how anytime an announcer ever says "sailgating" they say it like "SAILgaiting?!  Ha!  The Husky fans love their football!"

Mrs. Deputy Dawg and I rented a canoe from the student rec center and canoed all around that bay last May.  It's a really great setting, but I doubt few KU fans have ventured away from their inbred parochialism enough to recognize how great the UW setting really is.

When you think about it, a lake is just about the opposite of a hill.  Concave land that is full of water.  That site is really taking a shot at Lawrence.
