They all love The Waterboy
I do like that movie, so this line of thinking is probably not far off.

That movie is for idiots

No matter how tired i am and ready to settle for any mindless fun, when Sandler starts with the momma crap, it's just too cringe-worthy to watch. But then i found him to be a no-talent lametrosity since his SNL days

Really surprised K-State is in the flex pack.   Typically a K-State home game is an economic tide that lifts the KU athletic boat substantially.

That's why it's "only" $145.

A smart KU fan (insert joke here) will purchase deal with OU & K-State games and make some money off the deal.

Very strategic by KU to allow the KSU game to be in the pack.  They have to believe KSU fans won't saddle themselves with tickets to two other KU games, knowing good well they can't even give those away to Lawrence poors.  And, if KSU fans do buy some of these "packages" in order to access some qatz tickets, it will appear as if KU sold more tickets to games where the fans in the official attendance will appear to be camouflaged as empty bleachers.

Will OU fans actually travel for that game?

Or, are you opining that there are more Sooner football fans in Lawrence/Topeka/JoCo than there are KU football fans?

I was speculating that sooner fans travel, but you raise an interesting theory about the number of KU vs. OU football fans in the area.

I would just always borrow a friends ID and give them $10 or some beer for the ticket too. Irked some of their student section, but it was usually 25% or more purple fans so they wouldn't say much.

guys, take $50, buy 10 tickets for $5 MAX. sell them back to scalpers for double.

the last 2 games in Lawrence I have done this, and actually made a profit after food/gas/parking/time and I am being 100% serious

Man. Times are really slow around this thread. Shame, because it's usually packed with genuine LOLs.

There is nothing LOL about the current state of football at KU. They need our TSC love now more than ever.

Super insider source told me only ~15 players even show up for morning workouts  :frown:

Same source (fairly "plugged in", not just some "mega-donor"  everyone at the phog knows) says as far as construction goes, they are having trouble getting financing for small <$50k upkeep projects at Anderson clip art and there is absolutely no grumblings or rumblings of major stadium construction at all  :frown:

The thread is slow because KU football is not hurting.  They are on the verge of history.  Their main problem at this point is deciding between accepting offers from the BIG or SEC.  Reportedly the SEC has promised to build them a new stadium and are very excited about adding a BB partner for UK.
