but honestly, fwiw, i don't think KU football is hurting anymore. they've obviously turned the corner.

it's too bad that we're not playing in MHK this year so they could mock our parking lots some more while glaring at $180M. oh well.

I haven't been in the pillbox bunker they refer to as a football stadium in a while, but I seem to remember that it is mostly exposed steel and concrete. Considering the recent discussion on the BSFS expansion/remodel, shouldn't that whole place be fire-proofed at some point. I realize it was built just after the Spanish-American War and is probably grandfathered from updating code, but shouldn't KU provide the hundreds of fans with a safe environment?

You'll never win an argument on the asphalt. It's like speasking a different language. They don't even comprehend why you would need so much parking.

I went to the Okie State game in Lawrence this year and planned on tailgating with some local friends. As the game got closer I was worried we wouldnt get a spot but they assured me it'd be fine. Sure enough we show up and the 50(?) car lot is maybe half full. We left only a few minutes later after player introductions because my friends wanted to watch the Royals. (Don't blame them).

On the other hand we did hear every player introduced from the parking lot loud and clear from their massive scoreboard.

They have a shitty one. It is their indoor track thingy. They have a huge roll out turf set for it. I was on it last week. It sucked bad. Like, turf doesn't laydown at edges and stuff bad. Also, it's an indoor track thingy. So, there.

The biggest takeaway from that article is the tremendous blessing that ku granted Bowen by NOT naming him head coach... There's not a coach in the land that has enough fire extinguishers to put out that dumpster fire.
