Kansas players will run Pro Day 40-yard dash in 43 degrees, overcast and breezy conditions.

Hav, you are too classy. Only time I have been in the Oread was when I visited the Cave and you can imagine what it was like from the name.

What a shame, work hard to prepare for pro day and ku shoves you outside on a dreary, chilly day.   Meanwhile you're getting evaluated against guys who had their pro days inside dedicated indoor football facilities (like K-State) or got to run outside on song bird days.

KU's facilities are as good (if not better) than nearly all of the BigXII schools. The Football players do not see the interior of Memorial, nor do they use the restrooms or eat from the concession stands. They go from a state of the art football locker room/training area, out onto beautiful Campanile hill to the Stadium ... which does not look horrible from the field, especially when you consider they enter next to a massive score board and look up to see a large press row.

I wonder if they know that a nicer stadium attracts more fans no matter the product on the field.  Take Kauffman and Arrowhead for example.  Both teams sucked when renos happened but brought in more of a crowd when they were completed.  I'm sure recruits like butts in the stands on Saturdays.

That stadium is hardly more than a bare concrete shell.  The beginning of what everyone else would use to then add finishes.  It looks like they had some grand plan, got a third of the way through it, realized someone flubbed a comma or decimal in the budget, then stopped work immediately and only had enough money to finish the actual field if they "borrowed" money from the track program.

It's a good thing we are getting bigger scoreboards for our players to walk under. I guess we are finally catching up.

I hope the press row isn't so large that it intimidates the players.

The Anderson Football Center is not "State of the Art" the Anderson Football Center propelled ku from being firmly at the bottom to firmly in the middle of the pack in the Big 12 and on solid footing in regards to other similar facilities at P5 conference schools.   But "State of the Art" it is not.

You don't get a "state of the art" football complex for $30 million dollars.

Last week, I was in their training facility/indoor practice bldg for a baseball camp thingy.  Their training table outside of their weight room and trainer room is literally a double wide cooler full of sandwiches.  It looks like the cooler of sandwiches in a gas station.  1. Woof.  2. they certainly have affinity for double wide stuff.

Guys start calling it Anderson Family Elementary School like I do.  It's hilarious.  Dax will you start using that as your nickname for the complex?
