What kind of stupid white trash wants to put a tv outside of their house.

You will probably enjoy it after construction is complete.  Don't have an ETA on that yet though.

I thought my joke would have done better.  For the record, I have a large tube tv sitting in a wooden entertainment center on my patio next to the pool.  The tv isn't plugged in either and will require a converter box when it is.  Half of this board has been over to see it.  The white trash thing was a joke.  I'm just surprised no one called me on it.

My 37" is still hanging on the wall immediately behind my new 46" in my bedroom because I have been too lazy to take it down and the new 46" covers 90% of it.
You mounted a 46" TV on top of a 37" tv?  That was easier than taking the old one down?

Tv table has always been there under the old tv. We just put the new one on its stand on the table in front on the one one the wall.

I don't, but don't think its a big deal. also, there have been a couple of times in the last five years or so where I wished I did. before some cats fball games and after some.

I really don't like garages so spending extra time watching tv in one sounds unpleasant

guy in my neighborhood watches racecar driving in his garage. also has a racecar hood on the wall of his garage. it's quite the deal. told me it's the only area of his house his "old lady" hasn't claimed. he has an HVAC business which is nice for me, the owner of various HVAC type things. nice guy.

I must be white trash because I pictured having a TV in the garage while I smoke a brisket and enjoy a cold beer as a sign I had finally arrived in this world.

I will re-evaluate my life and report back later.

maybe re-evaluate living in denton too
lol

I live in Denton County, not the city of Denton, if that's any better.

They are like second man caves (or primary man caves if your old lady has taken over the place. In this case maybe put your balls in a jar on the shelf of your garage man cave.)

Not a bad idea regardless of the old lady situation.

The garage TV is not about not being able to watch TV in the house.  Sometimes, I like to be out in the garage doing things and it would seem nice to have a ballgame going on while I'm doing that.  Especially baseball. I like to do other things while baseball is on. During college football season, I like to know what's going on with non-KSU games but I don't necessarily want to sit in the house and watch every play.

My colleague in Fresno has built a little annex onto his garage that will allow him to brew more, and higher quality beer.  It's conditioned controlled to the extreme.  Anyway, yes he spends a lot of time in there.

it  is unlikely the op's  new home in Texas  will have a basement,  so the  classic mancave  is not an option.

My neighbor owns 2 harleys and a 1970's el camino; listens to Hannity and Rush non-stop; and displayed 7 full-size American flags on memorial day/4th of july.

I had college/nfl games on my garage TV as I was building him an outdoor TV cabinet for his patio.  We split a sixer of Lagunitas IPA from his garage fridge after we moved the cabinet from my garage to his patio and hooked up his TV.

That is not only a cool (and true) story, but is the epitome of white guys in suburbia.
