want to stop being a fatso?  then stop behaving like one.

Step one: set a daily calorie intake limit (~1200 or so).

Ppl are different in what they burn based on a lot of variables.  1200 is pretty low, especially for a guy.  Ppl wanting to take the Dlew challenge should spend a little time on the Google educating themselves first and adjust that 1200 to whatevs is appropriate so that the weekly deficit adds up to 3500-7000 calories in the neg.  That would get them 1-2 pounds a week which is the rate of loss that most pros say is the best.  I have seen a lot of stats saying that ppl that lose in that range are much more likely to keep it off than ppl that lose faster.

FWIW.

I dated a girl recently who had a really good diet. We'd go out to eat and drink and then she'd throw it all up. She was stunning though, so I think it was working. I miss her.  :frown:

3 years ago I lost 30 pounds in 2 months doing that insanity workout video. Its not sustainable though, need a lower intensity workout long term.

Just ordered all the stuff for the advocare 24 day challenge.  Has anybody tested this thing out before?  Any pointers?

I'm getting fired up about it.  Trying to get slim n' swole.

Ketosis seems like a lot of work and not very fun.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Cutting out carbs sucks, plain and simple. Carbs are amazing. God's gift to humanity.

Yeah.  A life with little to no carbs isn't a life worth living.

After 4 or so days without carbs your body will go into ketosis, which is when it starts using your stored fat for energy. However, it takes until about the 6th or 7th day of no carbs before your body has burned enough fat to make your body feel normal. Days 4-6 are absolutely awful. Terrible headaches, feeling sick, having no energy. No one will tell you the no carb diet doesn't work, though. It's a great short term diet.
