Tre Walker in a Q&A with the press scares us to death.

Quote
Shows you how smart Tre Walker is. You have to be standing up in order to lie down.

Quote
Mack will make sure that quote is hidden from the players, that's not good for them to read.

Quote
For the most part that's been the case during the entirety of Mack's tenure here. Some years talent hid it others not so much. 2005 was a clear exception. So was 2009. Otherwise tell us something we don't already know dip$#@!.

Quote
KSU has a history of beating us - easy to see why this kid would have such a perception.

Quote
Just because we're 0-5 against KSU since that young man started playing high school football?
Just because Coach Brown is 2-7 all time against KSU while at Texas, a program littered with guys who wouldn't have even popped up on Mack's 4-star radar?
Just because KSU has outscored us 301-175 over that span?
Just because in our 7 losses to them, they double up our score on average (38-19)?

Why the hate? KSU scares some people to death alright?

And I really wish Coach Brown would stop referring to 22 year old men as "Kids."
Just because we treat them like kids and coddle them at Texas doesn't mean they aren't "Young Men." I wouldn't consider men this large who have classmates that have been to war already "Kids."

KSU's Tre Walker on Texas: "They kind of laid down a little bit. That's nothing to say about their character. That's just what they do."

That is fantastic.  I would think that basically everyone in Texas is pissed right now, but they do seem to have a very easy way about them when it comes to just accepting our dominance, so maybe they aren't.   :dunno:

Edit: Welp.

Wear purple in Austin and any UT fan who knows we exist (~60% of them) will very subtly go through the entire 5 stages of grief in their facial expressions. All in about the course of 2 seconds.

I attended the Ron Prince Stomp game, and after the game, the Texas fans were all super nice to me. They all congratulated me on the win. I said "Thanks, guys, but Ron's team did all the work. Haha." Then they asked me if I was planning on going to 6th St to party. I said "you bet your ass I'm going to 6th street to party!" Then they gave me free beer and food. It's just hard to dislike Texas fans because they are so nice.

Yeah, the people who have an actual connection to the school will always be good to you. The rich types with no connections will be all smuggy and expect to win but not much worse than that. The poors with the wal-mart t-shirts (bonfire Aggie has a HUGE hard-on for this meme btw) and no connections will just ask where Kansas is.

that is a silly question.  kansas is directly north of texas and just one state away.  they should know that by looking at a map.

from kusports.com:

Asked how he was able to sell so many talented junior-college prospects on a place like Kansas, Weis flashed his brutal honesty and reiterated something local media members heard months ago.

“Everyone wants to play,” he said. "There's no one that wants to not play. I said, 'Have you looked at that pile of crap out there? If you don't think you can play here, where do you think you can play?' It's a pretty simple approach.”

It also sent the room into fits of laughter and Twitter into a frenzy.

Later, when asked to clarify his comment, Weis did not back down and said the declaration was nothing new to his players.

“They wouldn't be shocked,” Weis said. “They'd expect it. Let me just get one thing straight. I'm talking about what they saw last year. We have yet to play this year. And we have 12 games, at least, for them to change that impression. Hopefully I can't use that this year.”

Added junior quarterback Jake Heaps: "That's what we love as players; we love how candid he is. We know exactly where we stand with him. We don't have to worry about him sugar-coating it and him playing mind games with us. It's all about honesty. And it pushes you to get better. At least you know where you stand."

That Weis comment was a direct shot at his fan base which claims they have as much talent as the league champion.  It's in his best interest for his fan base to know he is coaching a pile of crap. Takes a lot of pressure off.
