So, I love this stuff, right?  Buy whole bean.  Drink it black and medium strength.  Anyway, kind of mix it up on what brand I buy.  I usually always have the monster bag of regular Starbucks from Sams Club because it saves tons of money but also pick up random stuff that is in a cool package or that I've heard of.  Any suggestions?  Had something that was a local KC roaster at a buddy's house the other day and it was pretty good but I can't remember what it was called.

starbucks' Yukon or Gold Coast whole bean is my fav.  small grinder and french press at my desk.  our coffee maker at work has a hot water tap.  can't live w/o

You might consider ordering some Stumptown coffee online.  I think it's just OK myself, but it's all the rage these days.  The "third wave" of coffee, and all that...

http://www.stumptowncoffee.com/

(If you click on the "Coffees" tab, you'll get to an order page.)

P.S.  I LOVE coffee!  If we were in grade school, you'd make jokes about "why don't I marry it" and whatnot...

Coffee is for old farts that don't have any energy ( :users:) with a X through it.

Do like frozen coffee though or the cold fraps from starbucks.

love coffee. feel pretty elite around inexperienced coffee people cuz i can drink it black, and i love it. all the pussies that put cream and sugar merely stare up at me in awe. makes me feel old too.

Still do the airplane line every time when I order coffee (sometimes change it to "Like my women" but sometimes leave it "Like my men" for extra hilarity).  McD's drivethrough, Starbucks, everywhere.  Mrs. dave fails to see the humor :dunno:

figured it was roasterie.  next time you're in KC you should tour their facility, it's for elites only though so be warned.

Got a Roasterie poster on my wall.  But don't drink much coffee.

That line never gets old.  So many great variations:  strong, weak, full of cream, bitter, etc., etc., etc.

if you ever come to southern europe, bring an empty suitcase and pack it full of vacuum pa'ked ground espresso.  really cheap, and good.  not sure how the airline ticket would effect the margins.   :dunno:

french press is ok, but prefer italian.  kind of has a fun ritual feel about it too.  should def. have both though, so you can vary according to mood.

Had a cinnamon latte from Starbucks this morning.  Usually go vanilla, but felt like mixing it up. Not bad.

I hate starbucks coffee, but I never admit it, because it makes me sound like elitist dudes who only use MACs and always talk about when things that are popular now used to "really be good before selling out."
