they'll be deploying their original areas, KC KS and KC MO for the next 2 years + all the other new locations they've announced.  not saying OP isn't in their longterm plans but they have enough work in their pipeline now to last them a good while.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

is Google doing any neighborhoods with underground utilities?   like some of the new subdivisions out by the speedway?

Real life download at 12Mbps for the 12 Mbps internet with no noticeable effect on the TV. Though youtube and TT did suffer on the same computer getting the download.

also getting sub 40ms ping on bf3

I'm happy with it so far. Although i don't use it as much as i should. Sports season will be my test.

I had the U400 for a few years.  I didn't know what to do with all of the football.  The first few weeks I had it, I just sat in a chair from 9 AM-1 AM BBSing while watching God knows what.

I watched more Mountain West football than anyone ever should.  Simply because it was there.

just realized everything is output in 720p. Not a big deal for day to day watching, but I am worried about sports season.

that soccer stuff was noticeably less clear in wide shots than I am used to with cox. Looked fine from couch distance but up close was troublingly pixelated.

the pixelation is from the compression, not the 720p output.  720p looks just fine.

Pretty sure that uVerse supports 1080i and 720p, it just depends on what the source channel broadcasts. Of course, none of it really matters. They could broadcast in 2160p and it would still look like crap because of the compression.

Anyone who says uverse's customer service is great has clearly never called uverse for anything.  It's an absolute dumpster fire.

Despite that, I may switch back to uverse soon. I'm about to call and fire the crap out of cox. I get between 3 and 6 phone calls a day from them, sometimes in the middle of the night, and it's just an automated voice message that says "call this number to hear about our new specials". One more and they're gone.

I had a great experience with their phone customer service so far. The website is useless.

I had to call 3 times, at an hour a phone call, before they finally shut off service. I had already mailed the box and router back, and they still went tried to charge me for 2.5 months after I had initially cancelled. It was a dumpster fire

That makes sense that they would treat a person who cancelled like crap and new customer in the trial period like a blessed emaw.

Uverse Pro-tip:  Use the online chat to address issues.  Things go much easier and you can preserve your chat content in order to document what was discussed (i.e. cancelling service).

Time Warner jacked my bill up after my introductory year expired and won't even come close to price matching. So, it's back to Surewest, for the third time in 4 years.

Neither TWC nor Surewest seem to be willing to price match to keep existing customers, so I've got to keep bouncing around. I guess they figure they're better off losing a few customers than if word got out that they're willing to price match. Kind of like how some airlines fly empty seats instead of cutting fares at the last minute. Best TWC could offer was a $7/mo discount, which still wasn't even close.

Satellite (I've heard) and uVerse are much more willing to negotiate, but you've gotta do it every 3 months or so to keep them honest. I probably could have gotten a better price with uVerse, but the HD blows so that's a no-go for me.

So anyway, with Surewest, I'm now getting all channels except premium, WH-DVR + 2 Receivers, and 10mbps internet for $86 a month plus tax. 1 year contract with a $100 Visa GC and $50 off the first month bill, and free install. Not bad. Just wish we had Google coming to OP sometime soon.

Cox will match whatever else you can get as an introductory rate somewhere else. sdbro just did that. I need to but keep forgetting to call them.

Who knows, they haven't the last two times, but maybe they will when my contract is up next year. They are pricing very aggressively right now, way cheaper than TWC.
