Police kill owners dog after it tries to protect him
« on: July 03, 2013, 03:40:08 AM »
A man who was simply filming the police was approached by two officers....before the officers got up to him the owner put his rottweiler in the back seat of his car. The man was immediatley told to turn around and he was arrested...the officers seemed to be a little aggresive in their handling of the man...and then the rottweiler jumped out of the car and basically was protecting his owner...instead of possibley pulling out their tazers and simply disabling the dog in a non lethal way....the officer decided to put a couple caps in the dog...The rottweiler then started having seizures and flopped around violently...The owner of the dog was intervied and it truly is a sad video to watch.

How about the story from last year when cops shot a family dog after they came on to the property and the dog (I think it was an Australian Shepard) was just doing what good dogs do when complete strangers suddenly appear on the door step of their house.

Ridiculous.

seems like a normal reaction to a rottweiler jumping at an arm.

go watch thevideo for yourself. They could have easily pulled out their tazers and could of contained the dog in a NON LETHAL way. And lets not forget the guy WAS FILMING and he got arrested for it? lol. I agree with you that it is a normal reaction to defend yourself from the dog but jesus have the brains to do it the right way. We all know policce have tasers. And to be honest I wish that rott wouldve tore the arm off that stupid rough ridin' pig.

Filming cops is against the law.  Stupid law imo, but it's not like they arrested him for drinking a powerade.

How did the dog jump out of the car?  Did the owner leave the window down or a door open?

EDIT: Just watched it.  Windows were down.

Pretty sad.

I agree that it isn't (maybe some states or municipalities do have a law against it).

There is a really annoying youtube subculture of people video taping cops and citing laws that allow and challenging the cops on the specific laws they are alleged to be violating. They usually attract attention by open carrying a gun.

Cops kill dogs because they know dogs love bacon and since they're cops and people call them pigs and bacon is made of pigs they think the dogs are going to attack them because they smell bacon. What I'm trying to say is I had this really clever thought regarding dogs/pigs/bacon and thought about it for a couple minutes and just had absolutely no idea how to share it and here I am still explaining it and maybe it's time to call it a day.
