I almost thought Dexter was going to kill Dr. Vogel at the end of the episode last night when they were on the boat. Because when he was listening to her talk to Yates he realized how she has been manipulating him all along with everything she says.

Last night's episode was super boring. I agree with Stevesie's inkling that we haven't seen the worst of Vogel yet, but, like last season, they killed off the main killer mid-season. I hate that. Maybe I'm just a sucker for the traditional mountain structure of a story, but it's dumb.

Everyone seemed to agree that last week's episode was pretty great. I thought last night's was good too, at least interesting, but apparently I'm one of the few in that regard. I think everyone, the cast and crew of this show included, is glad that this is the final season.

I wasn't a fan of yesterday's episode but the previews of the last 3 episodes have some potential. Hopefully they don't just ride off into the sunset though that would be a beyond Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) ending.

What a joke this season is. It was so bad I read the spoilers that leaked, and it appears they are real. Saxon kills Deb, Dexter loses dark passenger

Yeah, this season has been pretty terrible so far, honestly. The "twist" last week, where it turned out that the brain surgeon was Dr. Vogel's long lost son, is incredibly lame.

It was fine until Hannah showed up....which guess what? The exact same thing happened in Season 7. Not sure who thought it would be a good idea to bring her back.

That's just the thing. I don't know how the producers thought that "The Brain Surgeon" or Hannah are/were good enough characters to end the series with. I think the Brain Surgeon might be the worst villain yet. And Hannah is a decent character, but she makes Dexter a worse, less like-able character. While some shows (Breaking Bad) seem to be exploding to the finish line, Dexter is crawling down the last straightaway.

Yeah, I watch it so reluctantly each week. The narration is so over the top now. It's like they assume blind people are watching this show so Dexter has to explain everything that's going on.

I'm usually on board long after Gooch thinks the show has gone to crap (i.e. True Blood), but I have to admit that this Sunday as I was watching I was thinking "I wish this would get over so I can go to bed."

There is no way Dexter can still be this rough ridin' stupid. I mean how many times do he have to make the same stupid ass mistake to realize that's a bad idea? Its so obvious how its going to end and I hate it.

Plotholes everywhere. All season long, but now it's really obvious and sloppy.

"I can't kill Saxon, I'll just turn him over to the police" (despite Saxon knowing all about what Dexter does)
"Here you go Deb, I captured Saxon for you. This isn't suspicious with Saxon tied up and my knives sitting there"

Also Deb is just giving Hannah a ride to the hotel and then sitting in the car chit chatting with her. She knows Elway and the Deputy Marshall are on to her - maybe she should try to minimize the amount of time she could be seen with Hannah?

Well that's unfortunate because there is still ton's of great episodes ahead. Nobody is forcing you to watch season 8.
