Putting your email address in your sig makes total sense for the forwarded email reason.  I also sometimes have to send an email out where the "From" field makes the email appear to come from my whole department, yet I still attach my sig so people know exactly who in the hell sent it.

you should sign off every email with "Cheers!"

it would seem really fun but also be a tongue in cheek inside joke reference to that time you nervously cheersed and shattered your bosses beer all over himself

Actually see this one pretty frequently from guys in London.

i don't use a signature in my email and generally don't include any type of closing.  can't imagine any C-level executive including their grad degree in a signature.  only a complete idiot would do that.

I don't put my title in my signature because people are generally turned off by salespeople.

I don't have a signature, I sign my emails as appropriate.

I do this.  I also got "spoken-to" for not including our corporate logo on my emails, but I didn't cave.

Try going to your internal corporate web site and searching for email signatures. There is probably a policy on it and there is probably a way to link the corporate required signature directly.

We do the same, but I work with a lot of brokers so it is understandable.
