Yeah but that is a separate issue or battle.  I think the only "offense" or claim could be a tax dollar thing (i. e. "I don't want my tax dollars supporting something against my religious beliefs".)

Tax dollars would have to be used to procees marriage licenses.  I'm trying to find an argument that could be used.

there are a ton of tax breaks and incentives for marriage and reproduction.  there are also a lot of benefits provided to the spouses of employees.  homosexuals will now be able access those tax breaks that are federal.  the spouses of homosexual federal employees will now be provided with those benefits.  sort of the same, but slightly different - benefits to military spouses.

There is no logical argument against allowing homosexuals to get married so if you're trying to rationalize their arguments, you will be unsuccessful.

I am just wondering who has been wronged.  The only arguments I have heard surround the definition of "marriage".

Yeah, in reality it really isn't.  It's just that this is all about "my team vs your team" politically and has been for quite a while now and one team just was given something they wanted so the other team is showing obligatory butthurt.
