was pulled over for a warning at 6 over on 335 last summer.  HWP told me the new orders were to start pulling over at 5 over instead of 10 over with the speed limit bumps to 75.

I recently got a warning for not having my Missouri plate on the front.  It's been about a year and a half since I registered it in Missouri.  There is no spot for it though so I don't know what to do.

Just saw a car that had their front mo license taped on with clear packing tape....

Never got a ticket, but one time in Texas I got two warnings within an hour of each other.  I still had my California plates and I was returning to Kansas from California.  I got one ticket just west of Amarillo and the other just east of it.  The first cop pulled me over for going three over, second one pulled me over for going one over.  Meanwhile, cars with Texas plates were zooming by at 15+ over without any issues.  GMAFB.

They were both really nice about it though.  Second cop had me come sit in his passenger seat while he ran my info and when I got in I said "Wow, this is the first time I've ever been in the front of a cop car!"  He gave me a pretty stern :dubious: so I said "Don't worry, never been in the back of one either."

A few days later I decided to ask one of my friends why that happened since his dad is a sheriff in that part of Texas.  He called him and told him what happened, his dad said they will use any excuse possible to pull over cars with California plates so they can search for drugs and illegal immigrants.  He said that as long as you aren't excessively speeding or being a dick you won't get a ticket when they pull you over for BS like one mile over.  Now I have Kansas plates so I can cruise through Texas without being profiled.

I love the part about texans assuming all drugs and illegals come through California

I drive an S10 pickup, you'd think it would be obvious to the Amarillo PD that smuggling a family of illegals and a few hundred kilos of yeyo in my vehicle is impossible but I guess not

i disagree. slow down but keep driving until you get to an off-ramp. the cop will initially suspect foul play, but if you have a clean car/general appearance, he will back off and will appreciate that you considered his safety. this has worked twice for me.

I have a friend who successfully outran the cops on city streets one night.  Happened a couple years ago in Salina.  He was 20 and had a few beers to drink.  He stopped at a red light and then ran it because it was taking forever and he didn't see anybody coming either way.  Turns out a cop was hiding in a nearby parking lot.  The cop flipped on his lights and began to chase him.  However, the nearest parking lot exit was closed due to construction and the cop had to take a long way around the parking lot.

My buddy would have got a DUI even though he definitely would have blown under .08 since minors can't blow anything.  He decided eff it, I think I can get away.  He floored it and turned into a neighborhood but the cop saw him turn into the neighborhood.  My friend lost him by swerving into an alley and pulling a Fast and Furious move.  He banked his turn and timed it perfectly.  He slid his car and came to a halt right next to a big garage.  He immediately turned off the car, killed the lights and watched the cop fly down the street he was on.  After half an hour he drove back home.

Crazy thing is that's not even his luckiest DUI escape story.  This happened while we were roommates.  One time he was driving home from the bars hammered and he got pulled over within sight of our place (I was sleeping in my room because I had to work early the next day).  To give you an idea of how drunk he was, another friend who was with him that night said the bartender stopped serving him.  Anyways, as soon as the cop got to his window he admitted being way too drunk to drive but also pointed out that he was literally seconds away from home.  The cop was tired, about to finish his shift and didn't want to go through the trouble of making an arrest so he let him go.  The cop made him promise not to drive again until the next day.  He followed my friend to our apartment's parking lot, watched him open the front door and then took off.

Pro-Tip

Oklahoma has some of the worst/tightest traffic enforcement in the country. The OKHP has written tickets for 1 over. Tennessee and Oregon do this also.

Do not believe.  :driving:

Oklahoma has turnpikes with 75 mph limits and signs that say "no tolerance".  The highway from Tulsa to Stillwater is one of these. Every FB gameday the put 6-8 cops on the highway that just pull someone over, give them a ticket, then just sit there and wait for the next guy. They nail people going 1 to 3 over who assume they won't get a ticket for going 3 over. They'll just work their way down the highway as a pack with each getting 2-3 cars/tickets per mile.
I got a guy on the other line about some white walls

Texas Liberals: Quit ruining Austin you vapid* fun-haters** :shakesfist:

You could easily mod that truck to smuggle a family and a few hundred kilos.

Fall of 2002 and a young ben ji had just turned 16 and was HELL ON WHEELS in his 1989 toyota minivan.

I pick up a couple of buddies on a random weeknight and we decide it would be a good idea to drive around and shoot paintballs at stop signs around the neighborhood. At some point during this little joy ride a concerned citizen dials 911 and alerts the authorities about the shenanigans going on in their lovely overland park neighborhood.

I'm pretty close to my parents house when I notice a cop car has started to follow me, we kinda freak out a bit and decide to head to the parents house.

As I pull in the driveway the cop turns his lights on and blocks the driveway then yells at us to stay in the car. Next thing you know 3 other cop cars come BLAZING DOWN THE STREET and do the whole park their car sideways in the middle of the street to block it off.

Two officers approach the drivers side door with guns drawn while another 2 circle around the other side with guns drawn before they realize its just a bunch of 15/16yr old kids in a minivan.

We are all chilling in the front yard for about 15 minutes before my parents realize there are 4 cops cars chilling in front of their house. Eventually they make us all call our parents and release us to them but let me and know that I was going to be charged with Aiding and Abetting a criminal while my buddy would be charged with Discharging a firearm(paintball gun) within city limits.

I didnt hear anything from the po po for a month so my buddy and I have a cool teacher call the police station and inquire about the case. Teacher is told they have no record of the event and there are no charges filed.

Lets just say ben ji was SUPER GROUNDED for like 2 months.

i have a similar story except exchange parents driveway with me and some buds pulled over on I-70 and frisked at gunpoint on the side of the road while shakes the drug dog tore apart the A-Team style conversion van we were driving.
