I become enraged at people who walk into a subway and just stand there in front of the door like they're the last person to get on instead of filling in empty space. It's a new thing for me, not sure why although my commute has changed a bit.

same with elevators. very enraging thing.

X post with “hilarious things at your office” thread but my new little bit is if I’m ever getting on the elevator with my colleagues that I know I’ll say “5, please” (our entire office is only on the 5th floor) or similarly if leaving the office at the same time as someone else I’ll say “1, please” total deadpan delivery. Absolutely murders ev-er-y time

Thanks for reminding me....Elevator small talkers

I'll third this as an overall anyone who just takes up space and is a general impediment to anyone trying to get into or through anywhere. It's infuriating how some people just plant themselves in the most inconvenient spot for everyone else

i have a gym one: when people on the treadmill or stair master support themselves by holding the railing/handle bars. you're making your workout easier! lazy bums!

yesterday i saw a guy with a weighted vest on the treadmill holding the damn handle bars! you're negating the whole point of having a weighted vest! idiots.

i have a similar thing when there is a group of people standing on a sidewalk (for example) with no way around them, and they notice me approaching but do nothing to get out of the way. some variation of "where would you like me to walk?" usually satisfies my midwestern passive aggressiveness
I usually go with "Please don't let me get in your way"

Maybe not a pet peeve bc I don’t think I’d ever encountered this before, but today saw a guy airing up his car tires and ya know how you pay and then the thing runs for like 5 minutes or whatever, well anyway he finished airing up his tires, got in his car, and then just sat there for what had to have been at least 2 full minutes until the machine shut off, then drove away.

I don’t see a lot of parking meters anymore these days since it’s all digital now, but I’m certain if that guy were to park at one of those old timey meters, it wouldn’t matter if his wife was going into labor, that car wouldn’t move an inch until that meter hit 0:00

If you still lived in gods country you could fill your tires up for free at the 1 bagillion QT's in Kansas.
