those are city streets that are paid for by taxpayers, including the JOCO living etax people.  the streets don't belong to the businesses and should not be closed for any reason.

I'm not a civil engineer and am not sure what I'm looking at. Are they turning the road into a canal?

Brio closed for good (it was trash anyway)
Zocalo is also closing
Kona may be as well

These are good examples of the herd needing to be culled.  Probably for the best for the plaza.  However, once upon a time, I used to hit Kona pretty regularly, but has been years ago now.
