On a more serious note though. This will be the toughest team we have ever faced IMO. We have an outstanding defense and when we get a lead we control the clock like no other and it is hard to regain it. I am nervous about Kstates O-Line, overall depth and how they will try to beat us at our game by controlling the clock. I am not nervous about their speed. We have seen teams with outstanding speed/power in Sam Houston State and Georgia Southern and have handled them in the past. However their line was not as great as Kstates will be. Kstate would be foolish to try to turn it into a slugfest and try to take knockout shots against us for risk of turnovers with a rookie qb and the fact that we have a corner that will be in the pros and 2 safeties that will be given a shot in the NFL. I will admit that NDSU will be the underdog going into this game but will not be surprised if they come out with the W. If the Bison get an early lead and don't turn the ball over I like our chances. If they fall behind I worry that Kstate will nickel and dime us down the field with their Oline. I will be in attendance on gameday and hope to meet some respectful Kstate fans this game can't come soon enough.
No crap. It's cute how you think you can do stuff to us that you do to other FCS schools. And that we won't be able to do to you what we do to FBS teams. You guys need to talk TCU about what it's like to start playing big boy football and they were at least FBS before they joined the big 12 and got their crap pushed in.

Sam Houston State:
Richard Sincere NFL draft scout: http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=96477&draftyear=2014&genpos=WR
Tim Flanders NFL draft scouth: http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=91069&draftyear=2014&genpos=RB

Georgia Southern:
Dominique Swope NFL draft scout: http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=91297&draftyear=2015&genpos=FB
Jerick Mckinnon one of the fastest QB's in the fcs: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1232471-ranking-the-quarterbacks-in-the-socon-heading-into-2012

Don't rough ridin' act like you know who these teams/players are because you don't. Tony Romo and Joe Flacco have both come from FCS schools along with other high caliber players. There is talent in the FCS. Learn how to back up your talk with some stats then people might listen/have a conversation with you.
Tim Flanders couldn't cut it at KSU.

Never made it off the scout team, nor above 4th-5th string IIRC...

You do realize that the stats we would use were against legitimate, top-level competition, right?  Teams literally stacked with 8-10 guys each that are better than the 4 you listed?  Teams like Oklahoma, Texas, TCU, Oklahoma State, Miami, etc.?  Teams that annually put 5-7 guys EACH in the NFL?  Your cute little team has built your resume against the likes of Indiana State, South Dakota, Prairie View, UNI, and with a marquee game against CSU... rough ridin' Colorado State??  They're barely better than ku for gawd's sake!

You guys are like a little puppy yapping at a big dog until it finally gets pissed and puts you in your place.   I watched your cute little, undersized team on TV twice last year and once in person in Frisco, TX.  You have a fine program, your kids execute and play hard, but the truth is...  This is big boy football in a big boy stadium played by the champions of the second best conference in all of football.  Damn straight we are the toughest team you're little buffies have ever played.

Lastly, you're a rough ridin' fool for thinking that the vast majority of us don't know anything about the upper echelon's of the FCS teams.  I'm sure that's what you found in the ku, Minnesota, and CSU fans because quite frankly they don't have any reason to follow collegiate football.  Pro-tip:  When you have a team that has perennially been top 15 or better under LHCBS, your fans tend to be VERY knowledgeable about the entirety of the game.

I expect you'll keep it close for a half, just like Wofford, Georgia Southern, etc. do when they play $EC teams... But then, just like happens to them, the size and speed begin to take their toll in the second half.   Make no mistake, you're setting yourself up for a HUGE disappointment if you think that we are a comparable team to Sam Houston State or Georgia Southern.

Good luck on Aug. 30 and if you aren't too much of a dick, maybe the mods here will clue you in as to how to find the goEMAW tailgate.

2012  North Dakota State beat Colorado State 22-7. The mighty Rams end the year 4-8 in the Mountain West with their best (only) BCS conference win coming against Colorado (trash).

2011 North Dakota State beat Minnesota 37-24. The Gophers were only golden because they pissed down their leg that year and went 3-9.

2010 North Dakota State beats KU 6-3 in lowrents. To no ones surprise the squawks were terrible going 3-9 with a lone conference win against Colorado (trash).

If K-State commits 4 turnovers, the Bison have a shot.  The most likely scenario is that the game goes 45-14 K-State. It really isn't slamming NDSU. We have successfully beat a ridiculous amount of teams that are bigger and better than the Bison program.

Unfortunately for NDSU, no K-Stater is looking past this game either. We have heard the talking point about 3 FCS wins and Snyder will make sure that our guys know it too. The Collin Klein era is over and there is some anxiousness and excitement about the next era.

New Stadium upgrades and first College Football broadcast on Fox One won't hurt either.

My condolences on walking into a Buzzsaw. :chainsaw: :chainsaw: :chainsaw:

crap, every Northern Dakota resident with a dial-up interwebs connection have made sure that every person (coach, player, and fan) associated with
K-State in any way whatsoever is well aware of the fact that they have a talented squad that's pulled some lower level FBS "upsets" on their way to a couple straight FCS CG wins.

Also doesn't hurt that one of our team leaders went to an Olathe HS with one of the NDSU defensive backs.  I'm sure this well respected young man will have the attention of his peers as our team prepares.

Guys...
What happens if North Dakota State doesn't have someone the quality of Tony Romo at QB :horrorsurprise:?

or

Robert Griffin   :dunno:

or

Carson Palmer   :sdeek:

or

Donovan McNabb   :bang:

Guys this really might be a boring game except for
Sams running for 2 TDs
and Waters passing for 3 TDS
and Hubert running for 2 TDS
and Zimmerman getting 2 interceptions
and Slaughter getting 8 tackles with a couple of sacks
and Mueller getting a couple of sacks
and the new Westside stadium tour

Obviously they're more concerned with playing the Ragin' Cajuns of Louisiana the following week.  At least U of L is a D1A school so they deserve a very small amount of respect.
