JFK has a fantastic speech on Secret Societies. I think it would be good for some of you to listen to our last president talk about the danjas of such societies.

Just before leaving office, Eisenhower warned about the rise of the Military Industrial Complex. Ironically enough, Kennedy takes office and does not want to escalate the Vietnamese conflict... Bang... LBJ takes over the reins and perpetual war breaks out. If you really want to get funky, research the USS Liberty...

This guy believes in a worldwide Jewish conspiracy.

are you saying that these events didn't occur? I can understand if you have an argument for JFK, but be honest with yourself.

Kennedy also OK'd secret invasions of Cuba.

And Eisenhower, despite his speech, wasn't exactly a non-interventionist either (Korea, Iran etc.).  So the point is, we've basically been at "war" for what?  Almost 80 years?  Great.

I'm not sure what any of this has to do with Bilderberg.  We were at war before they began and we've been at war ever since.  In other news, we've been at war before the television was invented and we've been at war since.

What are we getting at here?

"The essential act of war is destruction, not necessarily human lives, but the products of human labor.  War is a way of shattering to pieces, or pouring into the stratosphere, or sinking to the depths of the sea, materials that might otherwise be used to make masses too comfortable, and hence, in the long run, too intelligent."

That was written over 60 years ago; and likely has been thought about over and over again through every decline of every major empire through out history.  These are not new ideas.

I don't think comfort breeds intelligence.
"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."

The idea is that the Military Industrial Complex sort of forced Ike's hand on Korea and the Iran coup. On his way out he was like "wtf watch out for these dudes!"

Apparently you've never worked among factory workers who occupy their time pushing rivets 50-60 hours a week.  There are millions of people out there that have neither the time or mental stamina to just intellectualize.

Edit: Whoever objects to this lacks the perspective to have such opinions and is fortunate to live with such luxuries.

"War is a racket. It always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people. Only a small "inside" group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of war a few people make huge fortunes. In the World War a mere handful garnered the profits of the conflict. At least 21,000 new millionaires and billionaires were made in the United States during the World War. That many admitted their huge blood gains in their income tax returns. How many other war millionaires falsified their tax returns no one knows."

Kind of like your blanket statement?  The people that work 60 hours a week have the time to pick up a book, but they don't because....  What NASCAR? Monster truck rallies?  Duck dynasty? And people that have the easy life just sit on their ass - never talk philosophy, politics, religion.  Just thump their chest on some bbs.

You suggested that the military industrial complex doesn't have the unintended consequence of keeping your labor so occupied producing things that provide no benefit to the quality of their own lives.

Yeah, you lack perspective.

I guess next time I'll have more balls and refrain from making blanket statements like "whoever wrote that is a dumb ass" and just address you directly.  Steve Dave, you are a dumb ass.
