Now we know why Snyder wouldn't touch him. KU fans acted like he was the bomb and it was a huge recruiting coup. Welp, they beat out Washington state for the kid (nobody wanted him) and he couldn't anchor against the run if he had the gun he was using in the attempted robbery.

Weiss said he was the trash talker of all trash talkers and every defense needs guys like him. He Also said he was their best player along either line.

Has anyone ever been more over their head then Charlie weiss? Hard to believe with his resume but the guy just doesn't have the first clue how to put together a team.

But guys! As Cwobrien mentioned, he may have just been a bystander in the whole thing. Honestly, this kid seems like the victim to me. How is he supposed to know that these older guys would have such negative intentions, no matter how innocent he is?

Unless he wins his current challenge to his conviction (he claims he had a bad lawyer), the earliest he can get out is sometime in 2017, I believe. (Sentenced in 2008 to 9-33 years, has to serve at least the nine).

Either way, he'll likely get out before KU wins another conference football game.
