the peanut wings are incredibly overrated
Tell us about the best!!!

the dude might as well own stock in buffalo wild wings.

you know who has really good and unappreciated wings in KC?  jackstack
jackstack has good wings?  interesting.  although i don't think i could ever bring myself to get wings at jackstack.

They're probably not that good. Just a novelty. "oh you know what? these wings are pretty good considering we are at jack stack"

KC is not really a wings town. Peanut is accepted as the best because A) they are a good level of spicy and B) there is not a whole lot of places where wings are the best thing on the menu here.

let's talk about good wings towns.  ok, now that we're done with that discussion, they're rough ridin' wings, not paella.  fry the wing, sauce the wing.  that's it, no tricky science, really hard to screw up.

the reason why peanut is accepted as the best is because they generally are the best.  and when talking about a commodity like a chicken wing, the local place is always going to win over the much maligned chain restaurant.

one of my sunday fallbacks is a dozen wings and a pound of brisket from jackstack, with sides of corn and beans (half pints).

the interesting thing is that they're dry rubbed and then smoked, served with the sauce on the side.  and really, no sauce is needed with them.  they're very great.

What's the KC place with the huge rough ridin' wings?  I like those.

Pretty sure you're thinking of the Peanut.  They are about the only place in KC that is known for wings outside of the chains.  I'm not a chain resturant kind of guy but BWW is as good a place as any to get wings in MHK or KC either one.

That's pretty much bullshit right there.  Frying them is no big deal, but many places hose the entire deal by effing up the sauce.

The fact that they are 4 times the size certainly doesnt hurt.  I understand the quality of meat in a wing isnt nearly as important as a steak but those bigger meatier wings certainly taste better to me.  Fried fresh every time too.

Also, if you like blue cheese dressing it's the place to go.

Don't care how plebeian this sounds, but Wal Mart's Great Value brand of buffalo wings taste pretty good, require about a minute's worth of prep and they're affordable.  Very convenient for fall Saturdays when I plant myself in front of my TVs and watch football all day.

I enjoy Bullchick's just because they have some pretty crazy flavors and I enjoy some pretty crazy flavors. Tubby's aren't bad, though.

i had bullchick's wings and they were soggy as hell. i enjoy crazy flavors as well, mostly garlicy combos and sometimes carribbean flavors but i do not enjoy soggy wings.

Rc McGraw’s about 5 years ago had the best wings in town and then they changed who they ordered from. Also ready for all the McGraw’s hate but that place is awesome. Haven’t been in quite some time but midget wrestling, bone thugs n harmony, Afro man, Blackhawk what a freaking place

The Korean wings w/ gochujang ranch at Tallgrass TapHouse are best wings in MHK these days. The wings at Moe's in St. George aren't too shabby either.

It's sad that this is correct.. MHK really doesn't have any good wing options.

I realize it’s not Manhattan but Willies, in St George, has pretty good wings.
aren't you glad it wasn't you? - g.h.
