Is peanut butter the pinnacle of culinary versatility?
« on: May 20, 2013, 11:20:27 AM »
I believe it is. Peanut butter can had those extra flavors and textures to ANY dish that other things can't.

Is there anything peanut butter CAN'T make better?

Is it giving you added utility that you wouldn't have had without peanut butter?

Yes because it is the only food at this snack.

Love it.  It's really good if you put a dab in a bowl of ice cream.

PB, Honey and English muffins are my breakfast at least 3 times a week.

creamy or crunchy, natural or sugar, does not matter.

Crunchy or Creamy?

On a sandwich, creamy. Easier to spread. But I can throw down some crunchy on a bagel or some toast all day.

The overwhelming contestant to PB as I see it would be tortillas.  I know they are just a vessel but is there anything a tortilla doesn't make easier to eat?

i think peanut butter is a little overrated actually, unless it's in a reeses or paired with jelly on a sandwich.  i don't like how it dries out my mouth.

but i can understand how people would feel the oposite.  one thing i'll never understand though is the freaks who put pb on a hamburger.  what a white trash thing to do.

As part of a spicy sauce, it goes great with chicken.

this is about pb, not milk.  one food shouldn't have to use another as a crutch to cure its own deficiency.

You're wrong about the so long burger. The pb/siracha gives it a Thai kick that brings it all together.

"Yum yum.  Yes, I'll have it medium rare please, and do you guys have a tub of Peter Pan back there?  Great. And make it fast, because Dierks Bentley comes on stage in 20 minutes."

Yep.  People with kids who can die from a peanut are in disagreement with this thread's premise.  Can't win them all.
