tiger benefited from entering the golf scene when there wasn't a single decent player in their prime. right now it is studs on studs on studs. tiger's eliteness will always be blown out of proportion unless he starts winning majors right now.

I really don't think that is the case, steve dave. I mean, he made it to within 1 stroke of making the cut in the PGA championship when he was 60. I think that Tiger in his prime might have been better than Jack in his prime, but to say that Jack in his prime, given today's equipment of course, couldn't make a cut in today's game is just ridiculous.
