Anything else would be a disappointment. Best player in the nation, best class in the nation, and best coach in the nation. If they don't win the National Title with all of this next year, would that be the biggest let down in the history of sports? I think so...

Agreed, everyone knows championships are won in May.  Why do they even have march madness anymore?

there's so many factors that go into winning the national title, i don't think it's ever fair to levy the "should win the national title next year without a doubt!" label on them. 

my hope is that they play to the best of their ability.

This is an excellent point, pissclams. We should all temper our expectations just a little bit so we can enjoy the ride.

Let's face it. Self is going to be starting a lot of freshmen, his system is very complicated, and he doesn't have a big man whisperer to have Ellis ready to swat shots away on day 1. The team will struggle to find their identity early in the year, and then be a force to be reckoned with by the end. I would put it at 4.5.

I don't know.  I get the Ellis won't turn into what he could have with Manning talking point, but he probs doesn't have to.  I mean, Wiggins will pretty much draw 4 opponent defenders leaving 3rd or 4th option ppl like Ellis most likely wide open for easy buckets. 

Ellis was just given another year to develop.  Just like TRob under the Morri....except no Manning( ).

Just booked my flight for DFW to watch KU in the final four next March.  Will be tremendously disappointed in this rather generous gesture of TSC if KU fails me here.
