On Wednesday, oscar Weber said the Wildcats are close to finalizing their 2013-14 schedule. And their first trip to Sprint Center won’t come until the Big 12 Tournament.

“Part of the problem with Kansas City is, if you are going to go there you want a good game,” Weber said by phone. “What happens the year after? You have to go on the road and play a quality opponent. Next year (2014-15) we have the Maui Invitational and the Big12/SEC challenge on the road. We already have some road games and a tough tournament.

“That was part of our dilemma. We looked for maybe the possibility of some teams playing us in Kansas City without a return, but we just couldn’t find a good enough opponent. I don’t think that is going to happen.”

 Bruuuuuuuuuuce

I HATE THIS, I ALSO HATE WHEN THE MEDIA GIVES BIG TIME PROPS FOR HAVING A TOUGH SCHEDULE. They is no reason in college basketball to ever play a easy schedule. Tough schedules bring your RPI up and give you more chances at quality wins and less chances at bad losses. It is a win win win.

What the eff?

Sometimes I don't think he knows what he's doing and is a bit "overwhelmed" by it all.
oscar Weber has the personality of a dead moth.

Will Spradling is an awful human being.

Meh, oscar is going to do what most coaches would; self preservation. Especially given the "young team" he'll have built through his resalukruiting methods.

IMO its up to the AD to tell him you WILL play the KC game yearly against a good opponent. If the schedule shakes out tough the next year, so be it. Its your job to put a quality team on the floor.

I would like to play a game in both KC and Wichita every year but I am not melting down over not playing in KC once in a blue moon.

This seems a bit nit-picky to meltdown over (although oscar is coming off as a HUGE pussy in this instance) but eff it. I will take any chance to say eff oscar that I can. So yeah, eff oscar.
