Read the book as a kid. Super stoked when they made a movie. Now I'm stoked to watch it again, in 3D!

imagine if everyone made a new thread for every movie they liked, what a great place this would be.

read the book on a (train) trip all over the west coast with my grandparents at the same time the movie was released.  very weird, because i specifically remember watching the news in denver the night before we left and they were showing people camped out to see the midnight showing.  then like 2 weeks later i saw it in palm desert and it was 114 degrees out that day, left my book in the car and the heat melted the binding glue and all the pages fell out.

not sure why i remember all that stuff.  but jurassic park rules.

My mom totally bought it for me at a school book fair and I still have it.   I'm kind of a book nerd like that, love to buy them in hardback and then I just keep them on my bookshelf.

I'm imagining a kim carnes-free thread and it tickles.

"clever girl"
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

If you hadn't already finished your Tolkien by the 5th grade, you were not a "book nerd."  :dubious:
